jon anik hit the nail on the head post fight, he said to bones that normally after each fight jon is grinning from ear to ear, post this fight he seems to still have a chip on his shoulder. dc gave him every respect for his victory, but jon continued to act like a douche, ben askren (yes another douche) summed it up best afterwards;

Hey @JonnyBones you may be the best 205lber in the world, but I know all you really want is the fans love. Sorry you'll never get it.

DC gave him every respect? Is that what you call punching him after the 5th had finished? GTFOH.

Jones dominated DC, 4-1 and it wasn't even close. He out grinded the self professed King of the grind. He beat DC at his own game, out wrestled him, in the clinch, striking and even threw him down a few times like a rag doll for good measure.

For all the talk, DC didn't show anything after round 2.

Looks like he gassed pretty hard after round 2. Can't see him getting another chance at Jones for a while seeng how comprehensive this win was even if it means asses on seats.

I think the man to do it might be rumble, he seems to have that level of fearlessness that jones does. Gus vs Rumble will be fight of the year IMO

Yeah I'm looking forward to that one as much as Silva's return against Diaz. Rumble dominated Phil Davis and easily dispatched (an ageing) Little Nog. I just haven't seen enough of him at LHW to tell yet though. I still hope Gus gets through him and onto the rematch with Jones.

It was definitely a fight worthy of a replay watch. I thought the decision was correct. DC had maybe the 2nd round but then he just clocked off and wasn't busy enough. He allowed Jones to play his game and ended up just stalking him around the octagon for the rest of the fight while Jones palmed him off. Occasionally he got in some great uppercuts, but he just wasn't working hard enough near the end, and Jones looked like he could have counter-punched him for a few more rounds. One thing about DC though - he has a chin of stone. A couple of those elbows would have stopped or hurt other fighters, but DC seemed to just shrug them off.

I didn't have a particular problem with what Jones did at the end. As has been said, fighters must protect themselves at all times. It's not a good look, but this was never going to be a respectful fight after all of the lead up. It appears the bad blood between these two might actually be real.

I really didn't know who I wanted to support in this one, as DC seems like an absolute dick, but Jones has lost that humble nature that gained him fans early in his career. The LHW division is starting to lose it's shine IMO and MW is becoming more the showpiece.

That said - Enter the Mauler.

Cheers FrNk :thumn

Agree with the DC seems like a dick comment tho I really like his analysis when on the Fox panel. Bones has almost cleared out the division, tho like you say enter the Mauler and Rumble like someone said earlier is right up there.

Probably looking a little too far ahead but what's everyone's thoughts on Bones moving up? If he beats Rumble and Gus there doesn't look to be anyone else left at LHW.

Maybe Valesquez should meet him half way, lets say 223lbs, make it fair you know. Jones by domination.

Because it's not classified as a performance enchanting drug by NSAC, thus not a banned drug.

The test was out of competition. His test were clean after the fight.

Couldn't really care about his drug habits.I think if Gus or Rumble can't beat him, then it's time to step up to the heavys.Would love to see him try an push the big boys up against the fence & tire them out! Caine would absolutely grind the f**k out of him.Definitely would not gas as did DC.

Hmm punishments for marijuana use have been pretty harsh lately in the UFC... Wonder what the punishment will be for Jones.

But ufc is different strokes for different folks so maybe he'll get a bonus
