Suspensions are usually up to the commission...

But the UFC has stripped Pat Healy of $130,000 of bonuses for testing positive. Which was sad as he was only on an 8 and 8 deal... So that money was life changing for him.

Matt Riddle is another... He was cut by the UFC for testing positive...

Yeah I'm sure he was...

But as I stated.... Suspensions aren't up to the UFC unless they are fighting in a territory without regulation.

The commission is responsible for any suspensions.

The Nick Diaz suspension was given by the NAC...

Diaz, Healy and Riddle all tested positive in post fight drug tests.

regardless it casts questions on jones's claim that he can cut to 205 more easily. cocaine does do that for people.

it's possible that without coke, he would have struggled to cut weight and his in fight performance could have been different. to me that's an advantage.... = no contest.

What does that matter?? If he tests positive pre or post fight... It's still a positive test.

Personally I don't think recreational drugs should be tested for... But rules are rules.

As for 'out of competition testing'... How is that even possible?? They don't start testing until the licence for the fight is granted...

Seriously???

He's doing blow to help his weight cut...

I think more likely he has drug issues... Specifically with blow... I hope he sorts his shit out...

But it shouldn't count against this DC fight... He beat him fair and square.

Well it matters when people say he should be stripped, like earlier in this thread.

In competition is the 12 hours leading up to the fight up until the final drug tests are taken. If his tests come back positive for Weed, Coke or any other drug, then Im all for him being stripped.

Cocaine is NOT a banned drug by WADA, outside of competition. Which is why he isnt and wont be stripped for it. Reading today, he shouldnt have even been tested for it at all out of competition.

If that's true then that's rubbish.... In competition should be from when the fight is signed.

I find it ironic that your the first to go around saying all sorts of shit about Pacman doing drugs despite the fact he's never tested positive for anything...

Yet this guy tests positive for blow and your trying to act like it never happened....

You're confused. I find what Pac has done suspicious.

You know what what get rid of this suspicion? For Pac to agree to Olympic style drug testing. But he and his team rather would give a myriad of excuses to why they wont fight with this stipulation.

But that discussion is for a different time and thread.

How am I acting like it never happened? Again this is a recreational drug, taken out of competition which is NOT banned by WADA. As Ive stated already, if his post fight tests come back with any banned drugs Im all for him being stripped. Whats so hard to comprehend?

What punishment are you referring to?

Yancy Medeiros, Jessica Eye, Nick Diaz, Matt Riddle is all I can remember off the top of my head who have been consequenced.

I don't care if he's stripped of a title or not, ftr I think he won fairly but what I have a problem with is the statement coming out and supporting him from the Ufc when you compare it to a guy like matt riddle who got punted. Obviously a case of portraying the golden goose in a positive light when in fact he f**ked up.

That's just my opinion on it and I hope he makes a recovery because without him the UFC doesn't seem to have that big draw.

Again, all those fighters you mentioned tested positive IN competition. Jones did not.

RE the UFC statement, I agree.

Apparently Bones has returned a REALLY LOW testosterone level in his drug test.I've been reliably informed by a bodybuilder that your Test. levels are really low when you are coming off steroids!!!!

Yep the positive cocaine test is the least of Jones's problem.

Looks like he had a bad steroid cycle, from what the experts are saying.

It will be extremely interesting to see what his post fight T/E ratio comes back as.

Admittedly I have no idea about the subject but it seems to me like all speculation from journos at this stage. How likely is it that this will be an issue for jones regarding PED's
