LOL @ the precious Rorter fans getting bent out of shape about Morley.

Adrian Morley was a grub straight out of the UK poster book of the biggest grubs to ever play the game. He's definately worthy of pouring scorn and hatred on.

Hate list;

Paul Gallen
Greg Bird
Beau Scott
Glen Stewart

Bob Fulton
Tommy Randonikis
Les Boyd
Graham Eadie
Terry Randall
Max Krillich
Phil Sigsworth
Steve Mortimer
Steve Roach
Ben Elias
Mark Geyer
Gary Jack
Mick Oconner
Wayne Pearce
Ricky Stuart
Mark McGraw
Paul Harragon
Mark Carrol
Andrew Johns
Tim Brasher
Sean Timmins
Terry Hill
Trent Barret
John Hopate
Ben Kennedy
Luke O'Donnel

Karmichael Hunt
Michael Hancock

Surely Steve Menzies was simply an oversight when you were composing that list?

I haven't heard it from Lyon himself but my parents were speaking to friends of his family in Wee Waa last year where they got much more of the story than was reported in the papers. As Cliffhanger said, it would be pretty unusual if Jamie just woke up one day and decided that he didn't like Brian Smith. Even ignoring the fact Smith idn't tell him what was happening, it's understandable for someone to want to move home to be around family if such an incident occured in their life.

You yorself quoted an article and contained in that very same article is:

A bit of background - he played for Parramatta and he left, was that because he was missing the country?
I think it was a bit of everything, in that last off season he was training his hardest trying to get motivated but his heart wasn?t in it. He wasn?t enjoying it anymore. Going to that first game he felt like he didn?t want to be there. He was definitely missing Wee Waa, he just got to the point where he had enough of it all really.

That sort of says he was already going to leave before any medical problems with his partner and unborn child.

I'm calling bullshit on the miscarriage being the reason. Sterlo (who is pretty unbiased about the Eels and who would have inside info) was pretty dirty on him for a long time, so there's more at play. He's killed it since coming back. Captained Premiership winning sides, etc.

Les Boyd.
Danny Williams.
Bob Cooper.

He was thinking about it but who knows if he would have walked out when he did if the miscarriage hadn't happened? I'm sure plenty of players have thought about leaving after moving away from family and friends but under normal circumstances they don't. Anyone who was contemplating it would probably be pushed over the edge under these circumstances.

As the quote says, he worked hard trying to get motivated which means he was trying to overcome the feeling that he didn't want to be there so there is every possibility that had his partner had the baby he may have felt differently and stuck it out, possibly even re-signed with Parra.

1) Danny Williams from Melbourne. Even his own team mates hated him! was hard, and dirty.

2) Brett Firman- also had team mates who hated him. though he gave a few of them a good reason to. Lance thompson for example. worst kind of merkin.

Did they hate him because he was easily the most overrated rookies of the last decade? I mean all rookies are overrated but how the f**k did that kid manage to look like a good future prospect?

Paul Gallen appears to be cleaning up his act of late (apart from the occasional knee, and the constant whinging) but wind the clock back 3 or 4 years and you're looking at arguably the most hated player in the game.

There was a period where he and Bird were the absolute villains of rugby league. Diving, wheel grabbing, pulling stitches, deliberate high shots, window pissing and racist remarks. He had it all.

There's a rumour doing the rounds that Fourskin isn't fond of him.

I'm yet to be convinced though.
