Is that how you deal with the fact that your club is broke and can't afford to buy any more players even though they are last

The Football Club doesn't normally react to
what is speculated on the Bulletin Board but it seems there is a gross misunderstanding of the club's financial position.
Firstly - we can survive under the current set up but that would make it impossible for the club to add somemuch needed elite players to our current impressive squad of mainly outstanding young players.
Last off season we recruited within our budget and added players like Hicks,Leululai,Monaghan,Cleal,Walker,Mullane,Heckenberg,Dunley etc who have added depth and dimension to the club.
Despite our adding of 19 new players we remain under the ceiling cap in our spending.
IF THE CLUB IS PRIVATISED at the upcoming special meeting of members we will be able to spend the full capacity of the salary cap of $3 . 25 million. This would allow the club to go to stage two of the rebauilding plan which is to add TWO HIGH PROFILE players to the team for 2005 plus another FOUR players of better than average standing.I hope this ends some of the speculation of how we stand financially.Obviously we are NOT broke and not likely to be under the current administration of Paul Cummings and Joe Cross but voting members need to make themselves aware of upcoming information meetings which will be held to ensure everyone who can vote is fully aware of what
future importance they hold for the Manly Sea eagles. - Media
