I see Kevvie is Ricky Stuart the 2nd and can get his mates to write made up articles about how tough he is and how it's the players that are the problem

Got to love an ex player lol

“Precious soft privileged knobs! Toughen up boys,” Renouf replied to Fox League’s tweet.

It depends, did he completely balls up the game plan? Or did the players just not give a shit?

if it’s the former the he’s in a world of hurt now, if it’s the latter then he was already screwed.

I personally think its all made up bullshit, and his mates in the media (Dobbin and Tallis) seeking to deflect from his teams performance.

The problem with Kevin is that his team went on a winning streak, and made the top 4. Then he decided he needed to change the team. How he persists with Turpin and Walters Jnr. is absurd when you've got Paix who had played so well in the season.

In defence, their success has been their linespeed (pretty much the same for Panthers). It seems to have gone away, and whilst I think Carrigan was a big loss, it started before his suspension. Teams have also identified Jordan Riki is awful defensively and have been exploiting that on repeat.

I'd also argue when your team concedes 60, you don't talk about throwing out the tape as if it was a one off when your team had been abysmal defensively for a number of weeks.

Cowboys line speed is aggressive and intense for 80 mins too. That's why they're in the top 4. There edge was getting up 20m off the try line vs Souths in cage D to shut down Cody and Trell. Payten must have drilled them doing the defensive effort plays over and over again in the pre-season, because they weren't doing in last year.

We talk about teams imploding in a single game, but this is the biggest implosion in a post-Origin finals run I can recall witnessing.
Broncos between 2003-2005 really struggled post origin.

They scraped into the finals in each of those years and didnt win a final.

But this has been next level.

Though this is the first time since 1999 that a team wins 13 games and wont play finals.

13 wins generally gets you in.

Passion yes. Coaching cred no.

Gamble doesn't miss
I think we all knew that was the case.

What Gamble said was pretty spot on in terms of Kevvie living in a different era.

I just cant believe he actually said it publicly as those broncos legends will go after him as you cant talk bad about Kevvie.

Kevvie and the Broncos, a match made in hell

The problem for the broncos is all the old players who mouth off, Gordon Tallis is a bit of a loud mouthed dill

Not too smart from Gamble. More unnecessary chatter ahead of a must win game.

Then again he is pissing off next season.

Absolutely a deflection. Unnamed player, no real changes (except for Ezra), neglecting that the issues the Broncos have aren't just the last two weeks like they want to claim.

It really should be an internal rule at clubs - former great players at your club shouldn't coach there. It rarely ever works out.

Manly 2002.

Was a glorious final round afternoon at Brookvale.
*Northern Eagles

Love the stories (urban legends?) about that one.

Playing the 13th-placed Panthers in the final match of the season - at home. All they had to do was win to make the 8.

40 minutes later they're down 44-6 at half time.

Peter Sharp walks into the sheds, takes a slow look at all his players and says "You can all get f**ked", and walks straight out.

LOL
