Well slater, smith and thurston all came into a Qld team who had a losing culture and looked how it worked out. I'd argue Inglis and Falou helped create a winning culture, perhaps it would of got nowhere near 5-0 without them.

Hoppa, Uate, Dugan - i think it's time to inject class.

Exactly, not to mention Inglis was brought in when we were facing our 4th successive series defeat, hardly a winning culture.

I'd say there's a few players before him but a debut is certainly not out of the question for young Will.

love the team, not sure i'd take lil' Hoppa personally, but i'm sure a compelling case could be built for his inclusion, he's a phenom and playing good footy. game 1 might be out of reach for him... but game 2 or 3 might be possible. i think that is definitely the best forward pack NSW have going, though. Ennis is playing awesome footy at the moment... he always seems to disappoint come origin time... but i can't pick Farah at the moment. he really hasn't been close to his best this year, hence the deafening silence from Tigers fans at the moment no doubt.

I just got a feeling if we chuck guys like Tolman, Hoppa, Uate and Dugan in we will be rewarded for it like Qld with Scott, Falou, Inglis.

4. Matt Cooper
5. Timana Tahu
6. Braith Anasta
7. Kurt Gidley (c)

Our 2000 game 3 record would be in grave danger.

What was QLD's 06/07 line ups like for experience? My backrow can be what Lockyer/Civo/Price was to those sides.

Experience on the back of 5 series losses suggests their only experience is a losing one! lol

I just hope the selectors give these kids a chance instead of throwing them into the wolves in 2009.

That series alone cost you 2010.

On form, there'd definitely be an argument to leave Hayne out ... but I think it'd be crazy to do so. One of the things many have noticed about NSW selections compared to Queensland is continuity. Inglis is hardly setting the world on fire but he will be there GUARANTEED.

The Hayne question is made a little easier by the fact Dugan has been injured.

I think, on form and because of his goal kicking, Gordon really has to be selected. Heck, he's probably even pushing for the fullback's position himself!

Let's say all things even this was the definitive Maroons side of the period.

1. Karmichael Hunt - Debutant
2. Greg Inglis - Debutant
3. Steve Bell - Debutant
4. Justin Hodges - 3 Games
5. Brent Tate - 6 Games
6. Darren Lockyer - 21 Games
7. Johnathan Thurston - 3 Games
8. Steve Price - 17 Games
9. Cam Smith - 7 Games
10. Petero Civoniceiva - 14 Games
11. Nate Myles - Debutant
12. Tonie Carroll - 14 Games
13. Dallas Johnson - Debutant

14. Shaun Berrigan - 9 Games
15. Carl Webb - 6 Games
16. Sam Thaiday - Debutant
17. Jacob Lillyman - Debutant

Surprising to note your backrow isn't that experienced either.

Watmough - 5 Games
Bird - 5 Games
Gallen - 8 Games

Inglis didnt play origin in 2006.

Game 1 2006.

Scored two tries (including taking a difficult ball from Locky on his feet), also pulled off a great try saver on King. On the flipside he was caught out in d a few times and came up with 2-3 errors, 1 of them proved costly.
