Size, speed and plenty of kicking options.
That's a solid lineup in positions 1 to 5. Actually, that's a pretty good lineup all in all -- there's nobody there who really doesn't deserve to be there.
I'd probably swap Hunt out for Watmough because I think there are enough new players in that team already, and Watmough has always stepped up for Origin.
Starting Gidley at hooker and bringing Farah on later is a nice touch. Gidley can soak up the initial fireworks then Farah can slot in once the pace of the game settles down a bit.
The other issue I worry about with all the teams posted so far is who's going to play left centre.
As far as I know, Gasnier and Idris regularly play on the right and I think Origin is hard enough without having to master an unfamiliar position. Left centre vs. right centre may not sound like much of a difference, but it does mean that the centre will have to pass the opposite direction to his winger, step off the other foot, carry the ball in the other hand, etc.
If Gasnier or Idris has played left centre before and excelled at it then that's fine. If not, I would rather pick a specialist left centre than force one of those two to suddenly learn to adapt to the opposite side of the field.
I think the only time somebody should be played out of his regular position in Origin is when a fullback plays on the wing, and even then only if he's had experience in that position (which is often the case, since many fullbacks seem to start their NRL careers on the wing). Apart from that, either pick a player in his best position or don't pick him at all.
