I would say Johns just remembered hearing we were interested and has assumed we got him. I don't think we're getting him, and I'm not sure he's the right type of hooker we need anyway

Our first priority should be to get rid of Hunt, which then frees up cap space to do the next most important thing, bring in 3 first-grade standard forwards.

I do believe there will be enough cap left after this to recruit Lui and a hooker.

Tracy at fullback would be nice if we are able to fit him under our cap. That means our ceters will stay as they are, Lomax and Suli with a Junior filling the left wing spot.

A Flannagan / Lui halves combination would suit the Dragoons fine.

I'm happy with Liddle at 14, we may be forced that way if Amone is not available.

So, if all of the above falls into place, we just need enough cap to buy two props and a left edge forward.

Yes, a lot of new blood but that is exactly what is needed to give the Dragons enough change to climb up the ladder in 2024.

I agree Possm, Hunt needs to go. I would negotiate with quality players we require and once we have a aggreement piss Hunt off.
I want him gone as much as anyone but he can sweat until we have quality signings.

When you find out can you tell us on the wests tigers forum so we can strike him off our list :)
Yeah, it does seem that we only are able to recruit WT player's ATM but there are still two I would consider, both contracted to 2024 - not that means much these days.

  1. SHAWN BLORE (For sure)
POSITION Second-row
WEIGHT 108 kg
HEIGHT 190 cm (6' 3")
DATE OF BIRTH 01/08/2000 (23 years old)
Captained Penrith Panthers' SG Ball Championship title in 2018. Then Junior Kangaroos. He missed all the 2022 season due to a knee injury, but I reckon he had a ‘redemption’ 2023. Already this year, has been approached by the Storm.
  1. JUNIOR TUPOU (on potential)
POSITION Centre/wing
WEIGHT 102 kg
HEIGHT 188 cm (6' 2")
DATE OF BIRTH 29/07/2002 (21 years old)

Big body, exciting in attack however defense very average but hey, he is from RU, and Flanno could prove the difference.

Sunday papers had possible Blore and Olam swap

Just had a tip off regarding the Leagues Club its self , from a (which I consider fairly reliable source) , That the club is getting ready for a huge renovation ........ This is very much over due and would help attract players as well ........ I hope the INFO is true , and it happens sooner than later ........

It’s underway as we speak. 4 stages over 5 years starting with the pokies area. $80million to be spent (I think that’s the figure I head).

You can also arrange to book the Museum for functions now, or arrange for it be open on a day you’d like to see it.

I think things are starting to improve.

Should never had let him go imho. Said so at the time. Also bring back Luciano Leilua. Was Samoa's best forward for mine. The skills this guy possesses, given his huge bulk amazes me.
Think Macdonald was another one let go of due to some off the field undisciplined behaviour??
He is the perfect prototype for a winger in the modern game, 193cms tall, and weighing 102kgs.
I remember he was spotted at Kogarah Oval a few years back, but the rumour mill was saying we said no. Who knows, maybe Flanagan is having a look at him.
He would fill a big void for us on the left wing.

I think he just wanted to go back to North QLD didn't he? I know we signed Rava and promoted Saab to the first team at that time so maybe they thought they had enough cover.

I have always been in the Nene club. I understand some major off field matters. Had a terrible leg injury after going to Nrth Queensland. Possibly, caused some issues with us?

Nene is very fast, strong returns eating metres and can jump catch well. Even 90% 2018 Nene will do me.
