Manly could choose to play it at ANZ. A ground they have a very good record at.

If Manly runs 1st and the Roosters run 4th and the game has to be played at the SFS it will make a mockery of the system, Manly will blow up and in 2015 the Final series will be changed and go back to Home Grounds like Brookvale, Parra, etc in week 1.

It's not up to Manly. The NRL will choose where they play. Seeing the SFS is closest to both teams and there is public transport for manly fans to the sfs they will play it there. The NRL won't want the embarrassment of 60000 empty seats at ANZ

So Manly would get rewarded by having to play at the Roosters home ground?

I can see there being an uproar if Manly has to play the Roosters at the SFS. It's got controversy written all over it...

Manly's fans get rewarded because they don't have to travel as far to watch the game. It's a f**ken long trek to Brookvale from the western suburbs, where most Manly (and Roosters and Souths) fans live.

Nobody in Manly follows the NRL. They'd all follow the Swans, Waratahs and Sydney FC. In fact they probably pick some obscure European soccer team and tell everybody they follow them instead.
