The only chance of the Warriors not being in the comp is if they can't get private funding into the joint. Even then, the NRL would I would think push very hard in its networking to ensure that doesn't happen. Discontinuing the licence is an absurd nonsense and will not happen.

why are you even here? is it just to troll? you've never got anything positive to say about the club. the rest of us might be negative every now and then, but that's because we're passionate fans. whatever you are, you're definitely not a warriors' fan.

time for you to stop listening to skinner. i've got it on good authority from my mate's uncle's touch-judge brother-in-law that cuddling up with skinner on league forums gives you brain lesions.

If you truly believe that, then you are very naive. The NRL organisation is run by a very different set of people these days. Gallop and his News Corp cronies have gone.

Home and away crowd numbers is a very important part of being issued a licence and licence retention. Those numbers impact on anther, perhaps more important, criteria of profitability.

Make no mistake, there will no particular loyalty to NZ over other Australia based franchises

i think your the naive one here...

dude... it all comes down to money... the NRL want to make money

the NRL will take into account the amount they would lose through its NZ TV deal into the profitability of the Warriors.

the TV deal would drop almost 75% if the warriors weren't included in it.

there's been figures bandied about that the Warriors are worth $10-$15million in broadcasting rights alone each season. when you take into account the the extra time slots for FOX and the NZ TV deal.

if the Warriors folded the licence would be given to another NZ team.

it all comes down to money...

the same reason why the Magpies are now a skid mark on the history of RL.

they weren't going to make any money for the NRL so they were told to merge...

the new commission wont change on that.

The tv revenue would be there, Warriors or not.

Since the club is privately owned it is a bussiness and if it failed to perform.....

The NRL would have absolutely no hesitation about cutting us loose and reinstating another franchise, at all.

Time to wake up, guys..

Sorry brother OZ...

your talking cow kaka my brother...

you lose a NZ franchise in the NRL... you lose the majority of your RL fans in NZ.

My greatest fear for the Warriors is that the crowd numbers will fall away to nothing and then it's bye bye licence.....transferred to another Australian franchise.

Your kidding right, bro the club is one of few clubs in the NRL who is currently making a profit and are operating in the Black, you want to take a license how about the Titans - In massive debt

Errr weve been there before and never even came close.

God, league is as strong in this country as it's ever been, and any fool can see that after stringing a couple of wins together next year the bandwagoners will be back putting bums on seats, but yet you and your cohort are waiting for the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse to turn up to mt smart. This is simply offseason trolling at a brain dead level.

Can't see it happening, we have the right people now in Ownership who are willing to spend coin to win a comp , they are making business decisions now, and the review will be interesting IMO

Wow, I've seen some pretty whack stuff from Fred Dagg and Trev, from the time they first learned about the internet and tried to use white out on their screen, till... well, I guess this. This probably takes the cake. The cake of all cakes. Pity they can't white this out, this will live on in infamy. Bravo fellas, quality laughs all round.

Ok, so if we dont see at major form reversal, the gate collapses, the corporates decide they dont want to know,, who will bail the club out ?

Glenn and Watson havnt got to where they are now backing losers.

Another season like 2012 and the advertisers are gone, the clubs history...

Again, we've strung together horrid seasons before back to back and still we are here. Glen backed nz hockey - a financial loser, Watson failed finance companies. I don't think the warriors is viewed as a major money maker for either of them. Glen is wealthy enough, and more of a long term player that, He can weather a couple of years of loses, loses which would be a drop in the bucket in terms of their combined wealth.

And try telling clubs like the raiders, eels and sharks that "theyre history" after 2 poor seasons.

Stop scare mongering

The Warriors' chances of landing an NRL "super coach" have dramatically increased, with revelations that the club could have their preferred coaching choice installed at Mt Smart Stadium as early as next year.
With the cash-rich Roosters signing rookie coach Trent Robinson to a three-year deal on Friday, the Warriors are now positioned as the only club in the market for the Storm's Craig Bellamy, and the Tigers' Tim Sheens.
Sydney newspaper the Sun-Herald reports today that over recent days a A$4 million (NZ$5.1m) bid for Bellamy's services was tabled for a three-year stint at Mt Smart.
It is not known whether that figure included a buy-out of the final year of Bellamy's contract with the Storm, which is due to run out at the end of next season.
Warriors chief executive Wayne Scurrah declined to comment on the possible contract offer for the man to replace the sacked Brian McClennan.
He also poured cold water on rumours that Bellamy's agent, John Fordham, had visited Auckland for a meeting with club bosses.
But with Scurrah, recruitment boss Dean Bell and club chairman Bill Wavish in Sydney last week, and reportedly talking to coaching candidates and their representatives, there is every chance a meeting with Fordham occurred there.
Bellamy is regarded as one of the NRL's top coaches. He has built a formidable record at the Storm, and earned a reputation as a tough, uncompromising leader.
But the possibility of hiring Sheens, who is also the Kangaroos coach, is emerging as potential leverage for the Warriors.
Despite re-signing with the Tigers for three years in 2011, Sheens, who won a Premiership with the club in 2005, is understood to be unhappy at the Tigers, after surviving an alleged boardroom coup during this year.
The Sun-Herald reports today that during the season the Tigers board tried to sign Ricky Stuart, now coaching the Eels, and would welcome a buy-out of the last two years of Sheens' contract.
Warriors co-owner Owen Glenn is understood to be willing to provide big money to land the top coaching talent, and a potential contract buy-out for either Bellamy or Sheens has to be possible.
Sheens fits the bill of "super-coach" having won three titles with the Raiders in 1989, 1990 and 1994, and his Tigers Premiership.
The Kangaroos coach is well-liked and respected by players at the Tigers, with Kiwis skipper and Tigers playmaker Benji Marshall defending Sheens in his weekly column in the Sunday News today, imploring his board to keep him at the club.

Sacked Roosters coach Brian Smith has also been suggested as an option.
Smith's sacking could have future ramifications for the Roosters. He is understood to be an important part in luring Sonny Bill Williams for a one-year deal next season.
Williams is understood to be considering a return to rugby in 2014 due to Smith's axing.
Scurrah declined to comment on any questions surrounding the pursuit of either Bellamy, Sheens or Smith, as did Wavish.
He also didn't wish to be drawn into speculation that the club was to appoint a football general manager in addition to a new coach.
"We're looking at different options on our structure," he said. "We haven't resolved anything and we're not going to resolve that until we know what our coach looks like.
"Certainly we're adding a lot more resources to football, and that was two or three months ago. That was with Brian as well."

Haha we're you and skinner old cell mates or something? He has got something over you.....BIG TIME!

He could say shits as sweet as sugar and you would argue black and blue in the face for him......very weird, very, weird.

They lost 8 in a row not 26. One more year like 2012 and we are gone pfft!

Tell me how cronulla are still around after 2009 2010 and 2011? They lost their major sponsor, couldnt sign anyone but John Morris and were in bad debt, yet got another major sponsor, signed some good players, the debt pretty much gone and were in the finals this year.

Going by what your arguing they would've been gone before 2011, did it happen? No

Oh, Cronulla ?
Did you forget Norths, South Sydney, Illawara and Western Suburbs?.

Tell how many Shit years did all those teams have before they were out? ALOT more than 1, and yet they still had fans! ESP the magpies and souths they were absolute shit year in effin year out before merger and kick out respectively.

And wasn't all this the result of the super league war?

Or did you forget bout that happening?

Is there another super league war going on I don't know about?

I believe our crowd numbers are up this year.

We have been in far worse positions, far worse.

But I guess a very poor end to our season and Elmer fudd sacked before the seasons up means we are doomed.

Oh no the rapture is coming.......
