he's not gonna be sacked no matter f'n what - they don't want to pay out a 2nd coach - Ando might not have got his full dues, but he would have got a good payout .... if kearney is contractually going to get a full payout then there is no way they will have the balls to do that - it would pretty much be admitting to f**king up and no management of anything in the world want to do that

he's here for the rest of this season and next whether anyone likes it or not .... so no point whinging about it, just hope shit gets better .... he is doing good stuff off the field, at least be happy with that, even if it means suffering every weekend - lol

if they extend his contract at any time this season before we turn things around then they are inept merkins, but I don't see any point in doing anything either way at this stage

The Board will never punt Kearney. They will continue to back him to save face. Politics will f**k us over and drag out the pain IMHO.

I think that it's crucial that both Arthurs and Nolan are kept under lock and key. They will provide SK with the ideas that he lacks.

THIS

The dictatorial arrogance that had them punt DA is the same shit that will continue to bring this club down and down, that's unless fans and members put the intense blow torch on them ASAP to force them to do something real fast.

If we have only 1 win in the first ten rounds he shouldn't be sacked but he certainly should be put on notice.

I'd be surprised if he hasn't been given a few quiet words already, but I would hope he hasn't been threatened with the sack

Ando sealed his own fate by asking for an extension after a shit season and saying he didn't want to continue for his 3rd season if it was his last - i always got the feeling he wasn't keen to hang around, maybe some sort of bad relationship there .... but i wouldn't entirely blame the board for shafting him early .... but there's no way they will do it twice in a row - like gronk says, there is plenty of politics at play

Probably realised what a massive job it would be to turn this shit-train around.

I don't want to start another da argument, but his fate was sealed when PO flew to Melbourne to meet with SK, and the media found out.

i have no doubt the board were desperate to get SK - but if we'd gone OK on the field I think he would have still been there for his 3rd season

PO flew down to Melbourne in April, the 2010 wouldn't of been 4 or 5 weeks old. I would think the decision to punt DA was determined in the off season, and the plan was to wait for a few loses.

Simple really.

ok so we've all had a winge about our team and our coach,
we havnt been good this year so far ,but im looking at other things SK is putting into place ,we all talk about his "structured" plans which believe me it goes beyond the 1st grade side. SK was bought in to change the culture of the entire thought process and how we go about becoming a professional outfit ,and that includes our junior "structure" and retention.
now for this to happen ,at some point there are going to be some rocky times and some tuff decisions made. SK has a 3 year plan that was submitted to the board in case you merkins have forgotten, for me apart from results on field which he will be judged on i think his "structure" he's put in place will put us in good stead leading into 2013 and beyond.
lets not just judge him on the players inept ability to hold the ball and make one on one takles, but look at the overall picture . its going to be a roller coaster season so i think we are a better judge after the end of 2013.

fire away...

His strength is in the structures he is implementing throughout the club, lets keep him there BUT let's get a switched on top notch coach to run 1st grade someone like Daniel Anderson...

Terrible coach. I always felt he would be a failure. And Wayne Bennett is the reason he did well with the NZ team.

Hoping for your guys sake you can move on from him soon and establish yourselves again.

I look at the progress/changes the Bulldogs have gone under Hasler three weeks into his reign.
I look at the lack of progress/changes we have gone under Kearney one year and three weeks into his reign.

Why could that not be us?

^^ This.

There is a lack of talent on the field and the NYC team has been awful since 2007 pretty much. At the end of the year when alot of the players contracts aren't renewed really which players are going to have more than option other than a lifeline offered by another club. Out of the 17 last night apart from a handful who would make a top 17 week in week out for a contending club.

I read a stat the other day that around 65% of player debuting in the NRL have come through playing in the NYC. Over the last few years apart from a player here and there who would anyone pick in Parras team to play in the NRL. When you look at other teams like the Broncos who are successful on yearly basis their NYC teams always have been some what competitive specially the year they made the gf where the lifes of Hoffman, Yow Yeh, Beale, Glen, Hunt, McGuire and Gillett all played through out that year.

While it's hard to watch out the shit that dished up last night I would will reserve judgement until i see what recruitment is done to replace the players that are not wanted and wait till 2013. It seems the foundation is all ready been laid with out the NYC team has performed thus far and the signing of Hopoate whose contract starts when Tongas ends.
