If you want to know who s going to get rights.

Follow a voss around, I guartentee he will sign with the new rights holder

if 9 lose them he won't be leaving them or announcing he's leaving until well after it's announced

he also maybe still under contract to 9 for next year for all you know

i guarantee you will not find out first by following Vossy

I'm not sure we should be following anyone

I've been reading this forum since 2010, I can wait a couple of months

I think its better we're not hearing anything specific, the speculation about first bids being crap got all the journos frothing at the mouth and according to our 'special' victorian friends the deal was 'in shatters'.

The morons on Big Footy must be jizzing in their pants over the possibility of the Swans making the GF this year and the ratings that will go with it. Its jsut a shame that the NRL have 4 games that are just as big each and every year

Theres an article somehwere that said all the NRL commentators and analysts contracts are up with the broadcasting deal.
If you think about it, it would be very foolish of their management to not align their contracts with the broadcast deal. Id be very surprised if any were not.

That said, following Vossy about will do nothing, all the deals for the commentators will be done subsequently to the main deal.

Souths, Storm, Broncos, Cowboys, Tigers all potential big ratings hits.... All in with a chance....

Last two GFs have struggled because we had the roosters in an all Sydney grand final (they have 32 fans) and then NZ v Manly in another....

Imagine Rabbitohs v Cowboys/Broncos/Storm - HUGE

Looking forward to some "fresh line ups" hitting our screens assuming Nine lose the rights. I still enjoy listening to old Rabs, but apart from Sterlo, I couldn't care less about the rest of them, Vossy included.

I'm pretty sure last years GF had HUGE ratings, and easily beat the AFL grand final, even without the NZ ratings.

No it didn't... With the NZ numbers it won but remember according to bigfooty we can't use the ratings of Warriors fans.... same too with Raiders fans, Cowboys fans, Dragons (gong) fans, and Knights fans....

Except that they use regional numbers when they post their Grand Final figures...

Docbrown any chance we could see the regional teams have their away games broadcast on fta into their respective regions while being simulcast on fox?

So say every canberra, newcastle and cowboys away game is broadcast locally on the winning FTA networks station. Wollongong a bit different not sure how to work that, perhaps just dragons away games outside of sydney.

Might also have an affect on crowd numbers if more fans that don't have pay tv get used to seeing their team every week it may encourage more to turn up at home, buy memberships etc...
