Sunday not live

Other stuff sounds good but this is criminal ! It's 2012 you merkins !

100% agree with the above. The following is the simple solution:

Nrl should just move kickoff time to Sunday 4pm, everyone is happy then

an addendum to this ByRd, if Ch9 want their ads, they can have a pre-game show starting at 3:30pm (like they did with the Good Friday Rabbitohs/Bulldogs match) and show as many ads as they want during that time.

All I care about, personally, is the greater good of the game and my club. If the game is going to receive the best part of $1.2b over the next 5 years than that is a tremendous result for the game.

What's best for the game isn't just money , it's exposure. Our FTA exposure is not good enough.

Back to the night time GF...

I don't understand the obsessing over the night time grand final thing. Unless
you support the Broncos or Melbourne, how many times do you get to see your
team play a grand final, let alone win one.

It is like worrying about what to do with your scratchie win before you realise
you won 2 dollars.

The agreement includes:

· A cash component of $925m, $90m of which will be paid prior to the start of the first season;

· Advertising packages to the value of $100m;

· The Nine Network will broadcast:

o Three Thursday evening matches over the course of the year;

o Wednesday night State of Origin matches;

o A night-time Grand Final (7.15pm kick-off);

o The Roosters Dragons Anzac Day matches;

o Nine will ensure that all of its matches are telecast on either the ?primary? or ?digital? station in each state;

· Fox Sports will telecast:

o Thirteen Sunday evening matches (6.30pm) over the course of the year;

o The Storm v Warriors Anzac Day game (other than in 2014);

· The first 20 rounds of the Premiership will be scheduled in advance of the season;

· The final six rounds will be scheduled at Round 16;

· Both Nine and Fox Sports will work together to stage two player development academies to train players in media presentation.

The major changes. The night GF is going to annoy people. Bold = positive. Italics = piss some people off.

Just as Kerry Packer said, there's abit of a whore in all of us. At least potentially, this is the last Nine deal.

The cash is worth it.

Our revenue is going to be very close to the AFL's, except we won't be putting cash into two sinkholes.

Game on.

I agree certainly to an extent. But I also don't believe that beaming a Penrith-Cowboys game into Adelaide live on GEM and having a viewing audience of 20,000 is particularly good for the game - much like what the AFL get for games shown in Sydney.
