So basically everything is as it was. No improvements of coverage whatsoever just more money. The AFL deal makes it look amatuer on both a monetary and coverage basis.

The ARLC is a joke. Still dictated to by the networks. Nothing has changed. The AFL would never agree to this. They tell the broadcasters what they want and how much they want and if they dont come to the party they can f**k off and show lawn bowls

Have they said what game will be deleted for the Sunday Night game? The simple answer would be a Saturday game, but they have said Super Saturday and Monday Night will remain.

if the part in bold is correct, I have a strange feeling it maybe the Sunday 2pm game....which would mean that out of 8 games in a round, only one of them will be played in the afternoon (the Ch9 Sunday match). 18 years ago in 1994, in most rounds, only one of the 8 matches in the round was played at NIGHT (the Ch9 Friday night match)

It is quite a war chest for 5 years to fight the fight... Then in 5 years, 9 and fox have no way of ensuring they will get the next deal with final choice. FTA is a shitty deal, especially around live coverage... The schedule is a big win for fans. Especially fans in different cities.

Timmy, honest question. Have you seen the difference in coverage from FoxHD to the trash nine serve up?

I'm guessing you haven't. Given that so many other TV shows are now broadcast in HD it's laughable that Nine would spend this much money on something and then broadcast it as if they filmed it with their sons first handheld.

Hell, watch an NFL or NBA game for two minutes. The difference in quality isn't even night and day. It's spectacular and f**king embarassing.

Anyone who does will all agree the difference is massive.

I never thought there would be any noticeably difference in viewing or enjoyment until I actually got a HD Foxtel box.

SD just looks old and blurry.

Almost every other major code in the world is shown in HD quality!
