Anyone been to North Korea on one of those Koro tours? I'm hoping to formally pay my respects to the dear leader in a trip of a life time.

Hitting up Hawaii in 2 weeks time. Just going to Oahu, none of the other islands.

Been there before so done Pearl Harbour etc, now just going to try for some more relaxing. Staying in Waikiki at the Hilton but ultra keen on finding a small cabin or something to spend a night or 2 at on the north side of the island.

Don't suppose anyone has any ideas on that?

Posted this in Jubilee Ave subforum but worthwhile posting here. I'll be heading over to Munich in July for a wedding, plus a side trip to the Ashes. It'll also double as my honeymoon.

Anyone got any recommendations for a class resort / beachside place anywhere in Europe for the actual 'honeymoon' stage of the holiday? The Mrs wants the usual .. plush accommodation, sun, pool/beach etc basically a very lazy week. Have been to some of the Greek islands before. Thailand on the way home might be an option to fit the bill, just not sure how the weather will be in early August.

Just got back from Thailand and Cambodia on Sunday night. Quick thoughts:

- Liked Phuket more than I thought I would. James Bond Island worth a look. Koh Phi Phi is beautiful.
- Koh Phangan is overrated unless you intend to get f**ked out of your mind on drugs.
- Koh Samui is dull.
- Koh Tao is where it's at.
- Chiang Mai is a foodie heaven. So much good Thai & western food there.
- There are too many zip-line companies there. Jungle Flight rocked.
- Thais are mean to elephants.
- Bangkok is hot, dirty, and not that interesting
- Ping Pong Show on Soi Cowboy was underwhelming.
- Phnom Penh is awesome and depression. Tuol Sleng (S21) better than Killing Fields.
- Siem Reap is crazy. Pub Street is the balls.
- Angkor Wat itself is too crowded. Angkor Thom is cooler anyway.

Need to go back someday and do it all again as a single lad. It's a totally different visit with a girlfriend in tow.

Nice! I did LA, New York, and Miami last summer and Vegas back in 2009. Still yet to hit the wild west.

Just over a week until I make my not-so-glorious return to South Korea for a week.

I've got a couple days in Seoul to get my Korean food + good western food fix on, then I'm headed down to Jinju to catch up with an old friend and attend the Lantern Festival, and finally I'll return to my old stomping grounds to eat, drink, and be merry with old friends.

A little bummed that a girl I've been sweet on since I met her in Busan back in 2011 will be there but is spoken for currently. We keep missing one another. She was single and wanted to meet up when I was in the US last year, but I'd just started dating the ex.

Someday, I'll get my shot at this cute, Korean-American geek girl.

Road-tripped from LA to NY over the course of 3 weeks, got back a few weeks ago. Have been wanking on about it a bit in other forums and on FB so some may already have heard enough.

My wife and I are heading over to Fiji for a week in December. Just a tropical escape for a week. Found a package for flights, accommodation, meals and drinks.

Just wondering if anyone has some advice for us for when we are over there? What to see, what to avoid, what to look out for, etc. Any help would be great.
