Will have to check that preview out when I'm not behind the Great Firewall of China. Stoked that D'Angelo makes an appearance to join his fellow Baltimore buddy.

Now we've just got to get Idris Elba on this mother-f**ker.

"The Walking Dead" is set to begin its fourth season on AMC next month, but the network is already looking ahead to 2015, when it's expected to launch a spinoff series to the biggest drama on cable.

On Monday, AMC announced "Spread the Dead," billed as a companion series to the original. "Walking Dead" creator Robert Kirkman will serve as executive producer on the new series alongside Gale Anne Hurd and David Alpert.

While no plot details have been divulged yet, the new series looks likely to approach the zombified world from an entirely different angle.

In a statement, AMC President and General Manager Charlie Collier said, "We look forward to working with Robert, Gale and Dave again as we develop an entirely new story and cast of characters. It's a big world and we can’t wait to give fans another unforgettable view of the zombie apocalypse."

So this means no Rick, Glenn, Daryl or little baby Judith? Not necessarily, but it definitely appears that the new series will attempt to establish its own identity separate from "Walking Dead."

As Kirkman himself stated, "I couldn't be more thrilled about getting the chance to create a new corner of 'The Walking Dead' universe. The opportunity to make a show that isn't tethered by the events of the comic book, and is truly a blank page, has set my creativity racing."

Along with "Better Call Saul," taking the Saul Goodman character from "Breaking Bad," "Spread the Dead" will be the second spinoff series from AMC.

The new season of "Walking Dead" premieres Oct. 13.

I don't recall AMC having to show half of a season of Breaking Bad in advance to get people to watch the show.

Enjoyed the first episode. Nothing groundbreaking but it showed the prison as I hoped it would be, more along the lines of the community they had in the comics.

From what I gather:
- The cannibal woman may indicate the presence of a similar group from the comics.
- The new enemy is a virus
- Michonne is still searching for the Governor so she can kill him.
- We won't be spending too much time on these new characters, besides D'Angelo.

It's an ok show but I wish every character except for Michonne was dead. I spend every episode hoping Rick would die

'Finally done with this show' huh
So, once again, this show utterly fails to deliver any kind of suspense. Witness as Glenn has two zombies on top of him that seem more interested in snarling and looking nasty than actually chomping on human flesh. But cannon fodder guy isn't so lucky. No time is wasted tearing that guy apart.

A helicopter crash lands on top of the store and there's a whole bunch of zombies up there, but the roof doesn't start to collapse until token starts perusing the FULLY STOCKED wine list, and they managed to find the worst special effects guys EVER to put on the most unconvincing building collapse ever witnessed.

The insanely dull and boring lead character, dick, or prick, or whatever his name is, has three questions that he's gonna ask you. Ummm. Ok.

Like Plan 9 From Outer Space, The Walking Dead is so bad it's good.

Same time next week Springs.

lol yeah, that's what everyone thinks.

8.3 from IGN, 8.4 on IMDB, 8.9 on TV.com, 77 from Metacritic for this episode. Yeah everyone hates this show.

And yeah, we should listen to a dumbass who wastes his time watching a show he doesn't like so he can complain about it afterwards. Too bad this show lacks a character who poisons children, murders people to save money and rips apart families to root for.

Oh and that 'worst special effects guy ever' you are talking about? Greg Nicotero, Academy Award winner. See his list of absolutely terrible movie and TV shows right here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greg_nicotero#Filmography

Idiot.

Every single time.

Like Paul Keating once said, it's the salmon that jumps on the hook for you.

Btw, I don't think Greg Nicotero has won any Academy Awards for visual special effects.

You know, because he's a make-up artist and all.

genius :)
