As soon as a red shirt starts flapping their gums about shit that isn't directly related to the "plot" you know they won't see the end of the episode.

What was good...

Some f**ker is getting up to some mischief. Who is it?

What sucked...

The scene with Michonne getting off her horse would have to be one of the most contrived scenes produced on this show so far, if not the dumbest. Once again zombies are able to overpower a main character but aren't interested in snacking on them. I still have no idea how she managed to injure herself.

Really? Infected zombie guy just strolls in to some dude's cell and the first thing he does is conveniently go for a chomp on the old Adam's apple so the guy can't scream and alert others to it's presence? And the chick in the very next cell doesn't hear someone getting ripped apart in the dead of night?

And then the singular zombie somehow manages to amass a small army of zombies without anyone noticing and then they manage to pin down all of block D? People are literally standing around do nothing except waiting to be bitten! The guy firing the shotgun appears to just be doing so for the fun of it.

Rick's great plan to lure the zombies away was to sacrifice all the pigs because they might be sick? What the f**k? Wouldn't it have been wiser to just lure them away in the car or on foot while someone reinforced the fence with sharp pointy sticks like the ones at the gate?

Why would anyone give a f**k about Carol teaching kids some simple survival techniques?!

Speaking of Carol... Everything about her in this episode was f**king painful.

While watching this show I always get the impression that the creative genius behind it may be good at producing comics but is completely, totally, and overwhelmingly out of his depth when it comes to creating good, compelling television that doesn't insult the intelligence of its viewers.

The action sequence and the open of the zombie kid wandering through the cell block was well done. The rest of it, not so much.

It's kind of funny that the only reason I care about Tyreese/the fact that his lady friend died is because I still see the actor playing him as Cutty from The Wire. I'm sure the same thing will happen when D'Angelo becomes more central to the plot.

I'm over TV Rick and his emotional problems. Sack up ffs. If only the Governor cut his hand off so he had something genuine to cry about. Everyone else has lost someone and carried on functioning.

Bring on Abraham, although Kirkman will probably find a way to make him overly emotional.

Considering the absolute mess Mazzara left, I always expected the first few episodes of this season to be a little over the place. The virus, new characters not being introduced well, etc.

But the sooner they end the prison arc and move on, the better the show will be. Being a fan of the comics makes it a lot easier to enjoy the show knowing, if they don't f**k it up, what's to come will blow everything done so far out of the water and with Gimple as the showrunner, I think they'll nail it.

Thanks for the reminder of the things that happened 13+ episodes ago. As I said similar things have happened to almost every other character and they don't feel the need to portray them all suffering through it almost a season later.

lol but if the Governor cut his hand off then his crying would be ok?

As for carrying on functioning he seems to be the one doing the most in the way of farming and organising food and water.

Everyone on the show has emotional problems.
