I see Cronk as just a really, really good footballer and don't know why he gets lumped in with Smith and Slater as the big three (not as ridiculous as the Tigers big 4, but that's a discussion for another day). Both Smith and Slater will go down as the best players in their position in history IMO, and would make the top 3 of probably 95% of judges. Cronk isn't even the best half back of his generation and would probably sit 10-20th of half backs in history. There's a big 2 and Cronk isn't one of them.
