Tim thinks he can just pick and choose when and where he plays as he pleases, a contract is a contract and you must honour that mate it's not a game, we could have signed another player in this time. I hope the club does not give in and that they can seek damages for this, his manager should be de-registered for allowing this to happen as well very unprofessional.

Agree 100% . After reading the article this morning, I couldn't believe what he was saying..what a Sook...Don't want him at the Dragons...a Contract is a contract...THe club should stay firm on this and seek Damages and maybe the tigers could offer us 2 of their best juniors ala the steve turner /Storm scenario.

Ok, reading that has really made me angry. Why did you ever sign with us you idiot? You don't think it is going to upset us!

We've been screwed over by this guy. I have finally had enough, I don't want to see him in red and white even if it disadvantages us greatly...we are now left very much understrengthed I can't swallow Stanley this, Vidot that...but we'll just have to make the best with what we've got. This guy has no right to pull on the red vee.

Mate..Moltzen is not Red V material...hes a Big Girl.:)

Vookie, Saints signed Moltzen in good faith. There is no denying that.

WT told Moltzen to look elsewhere, so he did. There is no denying that.

Moltzen changed his mind, despite signing a contract with another club. There is no denying that.

Afterwards, WT backlipped, several times - all the while breaking convention by holding back the deed of release, effectively stuffing everyone around. There is no denying that.

Do you honestly think that any organisation should go to the trouble of negotiating a contract in good faith, signing it, dealing with the player, his manager and his forumer club; and then commit to that player, set up their 2012 roster, only to be told that the player, his manager and the other club have simply had a change of heart?

Saints also signed the contract, imagine if the tables were reversed.

So here's a question: What if Saints decided to renege on the contract and simply say to Timmy and his manager, "sorry, we changed our mind... don't want you after all."

The Tigers don't want him back, and his future club just changed their mind. Do you think Moltzen would have a case for compensation?

Is it just me but Nixx makes his first post the same day Timid Tim arrives back in Ausrtralia? Family? Friend? Team Mate? Anyway Moltzen can't put on the Red Vee there would probably be a riot he's become that devisive even amongst our own. Would be just the Ticket in the Scarlett and white of the Steelers he would meet HONOURABLE men who would be GRATEFUL just earning an HONEST paycheck and PROUD to wear the colours.

Where is the damn like button...

100% very well said, they would of taken the club to the cleaners, players have that responsibility too and the Tigers club have been very deceitful a shame to their club, fans and rugby league. They should apologize to their fans for all this, so what if they keep Tim, was it really worth it to lower the clubs colors and their brand, who in their right minds would want to negotiate with snakes in the future again?

All I've gotten out of this whole situation is that the tigers players and board and fans are either prima donnas or cry babies...

Its a massive hypothetical but if that happened as we speak, he would definitely have a claim against the Tigers for 2012 as he has a registered contract with them.

Re Dragons, he would probably have a claim against them too. Its less clear though. He cant get two salaries for 2012. The contract is not registered. It might have no effect until he gets a release from the Tigers. It would depend on its terms.

Re compensation for dragons, they could say 'since we signed Tim we didnot pursue other players which we would have if Tim had told us no" THats as high as you could put it.

Saints are behaving like a stalking ex girl friend who cant take rejection. He says he doesnt want you. You rant and rave and lose it in public, and blame everyone else. You dont chose who you love Saints... Dont you realise he was only interested when he thought his best girl (Tigers) wasnt interested???

Don't want him anywhere near red Red V now. Decent squad player, but after all this crap, doesn't deserve to pull on our jersey. On principle alone, sue whoever you can over this issue. Save our money for a bigger signing in 2013. And then hammer Timmy every chance we get in 2012.

You make him sound like a spotty-faced kid in need of a hug.

Why a 'massive' hypothetical? People break contracts.

In this hypothetical they've released him and Saints have signed him.

So you agree that if Saints broke the contract, Timmy would have grounds for compensation. Good, that's all you have to admit to.

I think it best to let him go and sue for compensation. The disharmony could cause problems next year.

Make the move soon and sign Carney before he is off the market.

K Stanley to fullback
C Stanley to center
Carney to half back
Hornby to bench
Cooper as Captain
