If they don't have contracts for 2012 what are they getting released from ? Their contracts would have ended by now
Darius was contracted for 2012.

Boyd had signed an extension before the 2011 season started but then asked for a release when he decided he wanted to follow Bennett to Newcastle. This was well documented at the time of the announcement that he is leaving us.
Going by the Moltzen episode, we could still go back on our word and keep Boyd for next season which would be perfectly legal by the Tigers' standard.
And if the NRL rules in the Tigers favour maybe keeping Boyd should become an option. Just throwing it out there folks
That will never work. Boyd couldn't replace....Boyd :sarcasm:
quote from Doust
Interestingly, at present, we are yet to formally sign the Deeds of Release for Darius Boyd and Ratu Peni Tagive but they are all moving on to other Clubs for next season because that is our intentions and verbal agreements were made with the players and their Managers.

Just throwing out a few new questions - If Tigers are paying Tiny Tim more money to stay with them next season does that not constitute a new contract? if so does that means they have to cancel the one he already has with them? If so .... how can they because we have a contract with him?
thoughts?

What if Boyd now wants to Change his mind and stay with his friends at Saints? We haven't signed his release so we could still keep him. Imagine how the knights would feel! Why do Dragons' supporters keep peddling this bullshit?
It was also well documented that Boyd's contract contained a clause allowing him to leave the club if Bennett were to leave the club. Moltzen has no clauses to leave the club that are relevant in this case. It's a pretty f**king crucial difference. If we refuse to sign a deed releasing Moltzen from his contract and he tries to play for the Dragons we have an actionable claim against Moltzen. Boyd doesn't need one; once Bennett leaves the contract is voidable.

Would be kinda ironic if we sign Inu instead of Moltzen...
That would be one hellava mistake.........................
Legalese aside when the f... is this thing going to be resolved?
As well all know "verbal contracts aren't worth the paper they're written on"...
Can't end quick enough I'll tell you
same here so we can f**k off with those moron wests supporters.
Had Andrew on here again late last night still vainly trying to make a case
I know we verbally released you last Saturday night.Do you know of any other player who was released verbally and not in writing ?
