That's a very good point , it strengthens the argument for Moyaln to the halves too.
Moylan's no.1 skill is ball playing , if he's getting in the way of the halves doesn't it make sense to have a different style of fullback?
I know I'm flogging a dead horse here but I'm convinced Moyaln will play the majority of his FG career in the halves , of not with us it'll be with someone else.
I have come to the same conclusion. A fullback must have a strong kick return. He doesn't. You could argue Mansour makes up for that. If Blake, Peachey and DWZ did more work then Moylan's weak running game might not matter so much. The coach seems to let them bludge though. The centres need to roll their sleeves up. DWZ needs a spell. He does try hard but not usually to positive effect.
With a weak running game and Moylan now competing to be a half, if TMM is a better all round player then Moylan is really surplus to requirements. That is a big "if" though.
The only other thing I would add is that TMM has a great build to be a hooker and with his 5/8 skill set could be a Smith type hooker. The days of hookers just being tackling machines are long gone. Smith has shown that a hooker can control a game as much as a half if they have the skill. Another big "if".
Moylan 5/8th, TMM hooker, Cleary halfback. Possibly a legendary spine in the making. Or not. I'd love to at least give it a try though.
