The question that is the biggest conundrum, look at their top 15 players and work if their salaries were somewhat comparative to their worth in the markets how the heck are they under the cap. Only Walker, probably currently Roosters best player, is not an international or rep player .
Jealous, of course, but how different to the Storm who have their stars surrounded by players they have performing above their expected level. Difficult to like the Storm but you can admire how they set their team up.
Politis has a system in place that is impossible to trace and manage.
When he does go i don't think much will change as the system he has setup means anyone can do it.
Its as simple as basically business provide a TPA's for a Player outside the cap. Now that could be financial extras, cars, financial advice or whatever benefit.
Then in return the business get there ROI by freebies to home games in the chairman suite's, business lunches, 1 & 1 meeting with the players at club functions, Politis can take them out to 3 or 4 lunches per year at fancy restaurants likes Bar Reggio where he goes regularly.
You can't trace that from an NRL Salary cap perspective as they are technically not involved in the club they are associates/acquaintances to Politis who aren't associated with the club.
