Well, Crimson's big brother is gone. Surprised they had nothing for Amazing Red (he cited this in asking for his release) since they are "building" the X-Division.

Sort of sad but when I was younger Amazing Red was the guy who made me sit down and take notice of TNA.

Sort of sad, they didn't really do anything with him although he was a founding father of the X-Division and a trend setter.

After Hardcore Justice, Kurt Angle is the new TNA Heavyweight Champion and Winter is now the TNA Knockouts Champion. Beer Money, Tara + Ms Tessmacher, and Brian Kendrick retained their titles. Sounded like a fairly "meh" PPV, which I reckon everyone was predicting anyway.

So Kurt Angle, after having a knock out drag em out feud with Jeff Jarrett joins forces with him?

F**k Russo.

It was a "stare down" to finish the show. If Kurt Angle joins Immortal then that is bullshit. I think (read: I hope) they will play off the fact Angle had to cheat to win, rather than have him turn heel.

For the most recent Impact taping, Mexican America def. Beer Money for the TNA Tag Team Titles, after Hernandez hit Bobby Roode with Jeff Jarrett's AAA Heavyweight Title.

So touching by TNA. The same week they fire Matt Hardy, they have booked Jeff Hardy for their TV tapings in Alabama. Not that I blame TNA for Matt's situation, they made the right call there.

Jeff is the draw.

Matt is a pathetic washed up cripple who doesn't draw shit.

If he is going to be a bad influence on Jeff than TNA would be wise to keep him at a distance.

Credit where it's due.

TNA actually went through with the Bound For Glory series. I thought as soon as it was created they'd bury the angle as soon as things got a little complicated but to their credit they've handled it and it's actually going to go somewhere. Who's everyone vying for? Personally I'm a BMI mark, so I'll have to go with Robert Roode to challenge Angle on the biggest show on TNA's calender.

As for Impact, only caught the first 30 or so minutes of Thursday's installment but here were some of my thoughts.

- I don't actually mind the Sting character, at least it's better than him just being a monolith who takes up time regurgitating the same promos we heard in the 90's. Not too sold on seeing him take on Flair or Hogan, it reminds me too much of JCW but I suppose they've gone this far they might as well give us a blow off.

- Gunner vs. RVD was disappointing. It's not that I was expecting a five star classic but to continually cut away from such a pivotal match truly ruined the match and the idea of a Lynn/RVD rematch does little for me.

Caught the Knockout and X-Division segment but they didn't really do anything for me and that's when I stopped.

What's your take on the state of TNA guys?

TNA have a good roster, they are just held back by horribly bad booking and storylines. When they were at their best, their home grown guys (cue WYD to remind everyone most of them came from ROH) were on top. Their bookers were good and cared about the product (why they let D'Amore go I will never know). I don't think Paul Heyman is the answer, his time has past.
