Todd Greenberg has pretty much said one Sydney team will be relocated.

Yep all good in theory, but apparently Fox is having financial issues,I doubt they would open the purse strings further on a signed contract, much as I like your proposal.

They’re only have finance issues because they want to spend someone else’s money. You cant be flush with cash when your asking for $2.5bil from investors. This will all be forgotten about in 6mnths.

No to mention we did, hence why we are getting $110million a year more in media revenue. It was interesting Ch9 decided to sell the Saturday game back to Fox, they could have hung on to it if they felt it would be a bigger revenue generater than the money Fox offered to buy its exclusivity.

That’s true but would the Nrl of done the same deal if they new 9 was going to sell back to fox? Clearly the Nrl would of preferred 4 fta games.

And see the code impacted negatively in its biggest city again. I think you should have seen the raw and genuine responses from Benji Marshall and Joel Thompson last week. They encapsulated what the fans would do . Basically a massive loss of established supporter bases would occur . The only proactive action would be the reincarnation of the Bears. This would gain back a supporter base of over 200000plus. That would be the only "relocation " the fans would stomach! That's it. Go back! Do your maths : Divide Sydney's and the Illawarras populations combined, by 9 clubs. Then work out what clubs like Canberra and Newcastle have and the maths for 9 and probably TEN NRL clubs in Sydney makes good business and development sense. But you dudes don't do the math ! I can see that!

If you are suggesting that the NRL could host one more Sydney club, then why do you propose making the bears play at Gosford?

Source please

Good look it up you idiot. Another contributor quoted this well known tv fact a few weeks ago. And I noted such figures many years ago as my prior degree in Communication Studies had me very interested in tv ratings and particularly those of rugbyleague . Our know the anecdotal stuff doesn't impress you. But then the facts don't either! Go and maths especially in division and population density numbers! Throw in future growth in Sydney as well and destructive logic is just that.

That would be a good compromise for both Bears fans and assuring more local derbies for Newcastle and Manly Warringah. Gaining the Central Coast and recapturing lost Bears fans is a big plus. That would be the no risk. move along with Brisbane 2. Two areas of consolidation along with increased footprint with juniors and infrastructure in place. Makes good sense. More ambitious additional expansion clubs to follow after further development work I suggest. But definitely no whiteanting!

It gave them the option so I guess they must have accepted it was going to be a possibility. I dont think Smith thought were going to take the option, hence him sprucing 4 fta games as a win fo rthe fans, but they left that gate open for Nine to take. Of more interest was that Nine took it. Either they felt it wasn't worth the $20 mill Fox paid for it or they desperately needed to claw some cash back?

I'm sure the roosters would miss your once a year attendance and no membership lol
You could even get on board and support your local club!

Everyone counts. Even if your mind isn't in the right place! Your support still counts PR.

Your facetious and diabolical intent wastes plenty of decent fans time. But we keep.on the good fight. Sometimes you actually make sense then you self-destruct. It's a consistent theme I've noticed with you. I was informed of this some time ago by many others on this forum. And it's true.

Forget tv ! That's smart!

I've come to the conclusion, by looking at the tv rating trends, that majority of TV audiences are in fact neutrals and the fans of the clubs actually playing make up a relatively small % of the overall TV audience.

So you think they would pay more ,for a contract already signed.Just because the NRL says Thursday nights are crap ,"so pay us more"?
These pirates would take from their mother if they could.

It would be very interesting to know how much playing games on Fri, Sat and Sun only would devalue the current agreement and if the NRL thought the clubs could make up that shortfall through increased attendances?
TBH I dont think if every game was a sunny Sunday afternoon most clubs would have a clue about how to get more customers through the gate! Easier for them to flog it to TV and take the easy money I guess?

Well the next TV negotiations if the commission and Greenberg have any gonads, should push for either an extra game or additional game on Saturday/Sunday afternoon.
