I reckon we'll see Defoe up front alot more now that he is fit again, 7 goals in 8 games now since he has started in a 4-4-2.

I think we'll see VDV back in midfield now that there is a few midfield injuries.

I thought VDV was injured?

Something about a hammy, but i wasn't really listening to the news report.

Anything new?

not really, bit early yet, seems that Hoilett and Leandro are our main targets and maybe a CB but now that Dawson is back I'm not sure CB is a priority

he available for the FA cup but like alot of others he will be rested

There is interest in Rhodes, Joe Jordan and I think our head scout were captured on television at a game last night in which Jordan scored five goals.

He might cost £7 million, which for a third/fourth striker might seem excessive but given we'd probably get a similar figure for Pavlyuchenko and this kid is young and, importantly, not useless (joke) it adds up to a fair bit of business in my opinion.

:D That's ultimately preferrable to me. His value may have gone up since then, but we apparently only just fell short of Inter's valuation in the summer. If we manage to move on Pavlyuchenko, Corluka and Dos Santos you'd think we should be able to afford him.
Here's hoping! Too many transfer window disappointments to get our hopes too high.

Dont get confident on Hoilett. He was on the tele saying Spurs arent his preference as he wants to be a starter.

Liverpool and Stoke have entered bids.

Expect DeFoe to be sold.

Give us a good reason to expect he will be sold?
He loves the club and has stated numerous times he won't leave this window, that and Spurs won't sell him.

By the way, Gio did well in the F.A Cup game and was heavily involved in all three goals; Defoe even stole one off him.
Lennon and Dawson both returned, Defoe was the only starter from the side against WBA that started in this game.
I don't know how Lennon went but Dawson was expectantly rusty, but wasn't put under too much pressure.
He definitely still isn't ready for a start but both he and Lennon should at least feature on the bench against Everton.

The defoe talk is way left field.

On sky, they have a Transfer Window show and that was on about 10 mins after the Hoilett thing.

Defoe will not be sold, no chance.

Hoilett is our No2 utility target and I wouldn't be too concerned about competition Stoke and Scousers, he'll get a fair bit of time on the pitch.

He may not end up at Spurs if our No 1 target is achieved but its a bit of a long shot, however I like the ambition we are showing.
