Lamela will be given every chance. We went through this with Lloris, took him half a season to be a regular keeper and he was a mature aged player. He has played a few cup games and has not been as impressive as Andros has in premier league games, so there has been enough game time to make a comparison.

I think AVB still doesn't know our best line up, one of the problems of buying so many new players.

And just on Towsned, he is a true Spurs local junior boy, joined Spurs as an 8 year old and a product of our junior academy.

But you ended up coming 5th on goal difference last season. You dropped stupid points at the start of the season that you may not have if Lloris was playing. As well as Townsend has been doing the last week he's done close to FA till this point.

People talk about Arsenal buying a player in an area they were already strong in but at least he's WC and a definite starter. AVB decided to spend 30mill on a player that can't overtake a guy with one goal to his name.

He should at least be given a chance.

As both Boxhead and I have pointed out, Townsend has f**k all end product at the moment. He's scored one goal and even that was as jammy as they come.

It's actually kind of ironic, the guy shoots more than anyone in the league and his first goal is a cross.

I haven't seen much of Lamela but from what i've heard he's got the potential to be WC, whereas Townsend is just Adel Taraabt with a bit of pace.

I think both of you are underestimating Townsend's ability.

His crossing is quiet good and he is a genuine 2 footed player. Still very young and early days but I think he can be a very good player.

Undefeated and 9 points from 3 Europa Games and cant be shifted from top spot in our group so I suspect we'll see alot of rotation now.

Chiriches fast overtaking Daws as our No 2 CB, he was MOM against Sheriff and saved 2 goals with some pretty desperate defence. Also alot of people wondering why we paid so much for Lamela as he was ordinary once again, still having trouble settling in. Certainly taking some time.

He plays more like a ball playing mid fielder than a CB. Only negative is that he leaves his opponent and some of his passes are speculators but generally hit their targets.

With the high line that we play to allow Lloris to come out of goals he suits our game but geez we need Sandro to fill in the gaps he leaves. I'd hate to see him play without Sandro to fill in the gaps, I think we'd be way too exposed.

Yeah agree, he looks a good prospect.

I think Sandro's time has come to be a starter.However, I don't think he'll start on the weekend. That would make it three full games in just over a week.

When I woke up this morning I looked at the team put out by AVB and thought, shit, what are you doing playing near full strength team. But then I looked into it further and we actually made 7 changes from the weekend. Hard to beleive considering the quality of the side.

Doesn't sound like we played too well though.

We've played 3 Europa Cup games away, all in Russia or there abouts, fair amount of travelling and this mob we played have only lost 2 games in about 4 or 5 years so they seemed to be decent opposition albeit in a minnow league.

And just on the beast, Capoue is back this week so he may get a run and Sandro can warm the bench against Hull.

We do have a fair amount of depth atm but I still think AVB doesn't know what our best line up is as he's till looking at players and moving them around. This morning he played Chiriches for half a game at CB and half at FB, Chadli on the right instead of left, Lennon on the left and Holtby at DM when he came on.

I haven't seen the one against Palace in your first game but I'll assume it was legit.

Did Capoue get on on the weekend? He can't be too far away. His injury looked real bad initially so it's good to see it wasn't too serious.

Kaboom comes back in and puts in a MOM performance and Harry Kane was very good during him time on the pitch, scored a great goal. He is starting to mature into a premier league player

Chadli injured again.

Amazing goal from Siggy, I'd like to see him get a run as striker, he is just so much better when he plays centrally.
