Yeah but still....he'd be on big money there and they wouldn't exactly let him go cheaply. Despite the fact he's 33 he is still a top striker and would command big $$$.

we expect Leandro to sign on the dotted line later this week, transfer fee and most terms agreed

15mill (pounds) fee and 35K a week

according to an agent's Twitter we signed Leandro yesterday, nothing official yet but seems if it hasn't already happened, it soon will

Friedel has been signed as back up for our No 1 for the upcoming season and as a coaching roll for his second season, if we dont get any offer for Gomes he will be our no 1 but we are looking to ship him out. We are also looking to get in a good young keeper.

Palacios failed a medical and wont be going to Napoli right now. Could still go our before the window closes depending on his knee.

Things are expected to go quiet now while everyone is on holidays and we are waiting to see what offers come in for our players and what offers, if any, are made on our targets from other clubs.

I didn't post it for those who were worried about losing Modric, it was moreso Harry's reaction to the valuation.

I read an article that says we are after Leandro, Scott Parker, Didier Drogba, and as an aside, Gervinho, and Adebayor.

We know the Leandro and Parker links, but what do you guys think about the *possible* chasing of the other three, Drogba especially?
The article does have a quote from Harry that says we need to sign "three fantastic players", and that he's told Levy to spend big or we won't make the Champions League.
Any truth to this stuff?

basically its true and you can add Rossi,Falcao and Whickam to that list and we have spoken to all of them, but realistically Drogba will never accept our wage offer and with Ancelloti gone and Guus coming in he would be mad to leave Cheslki. Rossi wouldn't accept our wage offer either (just my opinion)

Everything depends on what other teams do as we keep saying we wont pay overs. For example Goons want Falcao and Gervino as well, and they are also chasing Benzema, so if they get him we are next in line for one of the others as we will not match their wage offer on any player.

Scousers also have a lot of money to spend after selling Torres and we wont match their wage offers either, they are also after a few of the players that we want as well.

I dont think we will get more than 2 strikers and Leandro is obviously the priority and should be announced any day day now if rumours are correct.

There hasnt been any real news lately has there? All I've seen was Sunderland look close to signing Peter Crouch, but the bid the press reported was laughable.
The article claims that Sunderland have made a 10million bid, but I severely doubt that would be the amount.

Crouch is the only striker that harry doesn't want to sell. We paid less than 10mill for him, 8mill I think. Not sure why harry likes him, he's shit.

I said a bout a week back the immediate future will be very quiet, we have basically put in some low bids for alot of players and we are just waiting now to see what happens and see what other clubs do as we wont get involved in bidding wars and paying overs.

Still got nearly 2 months left in the transfer window.

yeh, he's been released.

O'Hara signed for Wolves on Wednesday as such started talking to Parker, despite what has been reported in the press we only made a move two days ago, offered 4 mill.

Looks like either JJ or Palacios must be leaving as we have approached Charlie Adam, not sure why we are bothering with midfileders as we have an over abundance of quality mids and he would only be a bench player at best.

we wont compete with the big spenders so we have to wait and see who is left, we apparently have a few fishing bids out on some good players and if no one else bids on them we will up our ante, that seems to be our MO atm

Leandro is expected to be finalised this window but we are haggling over wages and he has one of those 3rd party owners who want part of his wages, pretty messy.

F**k, Modric is going to Chelsea, and has even openly expressed his desire to leave us and go there.

Who the f**k do we replace him with? Our best player is GORN. What are we going to do now? I guess it's some consolation that we still have VDV.
