Got 1 back, c'mon you things! Draw it!

And note for Mr Jol. John Gregory was sacked by QPR over night. Might be worth a resume going in...

YES! Spuds just won me $226

4-4. (1-4 down). Sucko to their 'fans' that left after 60 minutes.

Equaliser shouldn't have stood (Defoe offside) but I'll take it :D

You're not the only one

I brushed off comment about us being in the relegation zone because this is how we started last year and still finished 5th.

Everything is going wrong, infighting and Jol's tactics are pissing a few players off.

Lennon and Bent are playing injured and the biggest disappointment of all is that Ledley King may never play football again without risking the chance permanent damage to his leg.

I'm sure we will avoid relegation but we have spent up big on some good international players and yet Jol wont play them because he didn't agree with their signing, but he wants to play Bent who we didn't need.

On the plus side our reserve grade is doing very well.

Its not gonna be a good year for us, but I just hope it doesn't cause damage like Berby et al wanting to leave and taking a few years to rebuild our stocks again.

I know it would be a barrell of laughs in the short term if it all went wrong and they did find themselves in thebottom 3 come seasons end, but the season following just wouldn't be the same with out the Derby.

ANFIELD AGONY

Martin Jol felt we deserved to win at Liverpool after being denied by Fernando Torres' header in injury time on Sunday.

Robbie Keane's double strike - indentical goals from Paul Robinson clearances and Dimitar Berbatov flicks - either side of the break cancelled out Andriy Voronin's early goal and looked set to take us to our first league win at Anfield since 1993.

But the curse of the late goal on our travels struck again as Steve Finnan's cross was met by a towering header by Torres at the far post to level it. The board had already gone up for three minutes added time.

It's the third time this season we've been denied points on the road by late, late goals - at Sunderland (0-1), Fulham (3-3) and now Anfield.

"Everyone has said we deserved to win, and that is how we feel," reflected Martin.

"In the second half we were on top and caused a lot of problems. That was good. They had suffered a bad defeat against Marseille in midweek and we knew they would want to do better and we expected a difficult match.

"We then conceded a goal like that at the beginning, which didn't help. After that and the shot from Gerrard that hit the post (a free-kick after 28 minutes) I felt we did well to come back into the game.

"In the second half we were better, winning the ball in midfield, breaking quick and we scored a good goal with Robbie Keane again and we thought it could be a great win.

"We've got a great spirit, everyone can see that. We've travelled a lot and then had to go to Liverpool but hopefully we'll take a lot of confidence out of this match."

Meanwhile, Martin revealed that Darren Bent was sent home from Liverpool after picking up a virus.

Bale is signed up long term and yeah he is a gun.

Signed as a RB but could end up as a mid the way he's going.

Talk to any Spurs fan about Robbo and they all want him dropped but BMJ says it will dent his confidence, although costing us games every week is not doing his confidence much good either.

Our Under-18s beat reigning champions Leicester City 5-3 in the FA Premier Academy League on Saturday.

The Foxes won Group B of the league last season before toppling Arsenal and then Sunderland to take the title of FA Premier League champions.

There was good news for coach Alex Inglethorpe as Danny Rose made an instant impression on his first appearance since joining us from Leeds United in August.

Sidelined by injury since his arrival, Danny came on in the second half and was brought down for a penalty before scoring a fine individual goal on his debut.

Dean Parrett - still just 15 - caught the eye again in midfield and scored and Daniel Hutchins (pictured) curled home another spectacular 30-yarder.

Alex takes up the story: "We didn't start particularly well. We went 1-0 down after seven minutes when we got penned in in our box, they played a one-two and finished one-on-one.

"We went straight up the other end and Dean Parrett equalised with a fine strike from 20 yards.

"Leicester went ahead again midway through the first half when we played a loose pass and they capitalised.

"We got back into it just after the half-hour with a great goal from Daniel Hutchins. A corner was cleared out to him, he controlled the ball and bent it into the corner from about 20 yards. That was 2-2 at half-time.

"We made a couple of changes at half-time with Danny Rose and Calum Butcher both coming on and we changed a couple of things tactically that enabled us to control the game more.

"Dean Parrett released Alex Olsen to put us 3-2 up 10 minutes into the second half and then Danny Rose won a penalty and David Hutton slotted it for 4-2 after about 65 minutes.

"With about eight minutes left Danny scored an individual effort, an incisive run that took him into the box, cut inside a defender and then slid past the keeper.

"They scored again with a few minutes left.

"Leicester won the league last season and have a certain style of play that is difficult for opponents so we're naturally delighted to have beaten them."

Spurs U18s: L Butcher, Hutchins, Berchiche, Kasim, Martin (C Butcher, 46), Mtandari, Fraser-Allen (Rose, 46), Parrett, Olsen, Hutton, Obika. Unused subs: Dalton, Townsend, Smith.

Robinson sidelined with calf strain

From correspondents in London
October 19, 2007

ENGLAND goalkeeper Paul Robinson will miss Tottenham Hotspur's Barclays Premier League match against Newcastle United on Tuesday morning (AEST) after sustaining a calf strain.

Robinson sustained the injury during England's Euro 2008 qualifying defeat in Russia yesterday, and Spurs boss Martin Jol admitted he would not recover in time for his club's trip to St James' Park.

"Paul was assessed ... and it showed that he had picked up a calf strain while on England duty that will prevent him playing for us," Jol said.

Robinson, 28, has been in poor form for club and country this season, and he has been criticised for his role in Russia's winner in Moscow.
