and Sevilla up to third in La Liga since Ramos left

Interesting.

I thought Jol did a good job.

But last year, when the stories about Ramos started emerge very early in the season, his authority was shot and the season set for failure.

I couldnt believe, the other week, was it agains Portsmouth when Ramos rested a couple players in advance of the UEFA Cup?

Geeze, you want to atleast get some league wins before you do stuff like that!

he made it no secret last year that he was concentrating on UEFA Cup and the Carling Cup, by resting Ledley King form all Premier League games.

The fans did not appreciate it,

Needless to say a lot of Spurs fans are now calling for his head, not just because of the results, but his substitutions.

He drags Lennon every week and he's been one of our best, last night he put Bently on at right back with 10 minutes to go.

Why pay €17mill for a substitute then play him out of position. Bently has now been dropped from the English squad as he's only been playing as a bench player.

I love Spurs atm, always make you feel better about your own team's current predicament. You could tell the fans were hating it when he took of Lennon, does he just not rate the kid? Hopefully Rafa can snap him up in January. Bentley coming on at right-back was wierd, although his crossing was pretty effective. I'm a bit confused with Modric, what has he actually brought to the team?

Martin Jol had Spurs finishing 5th for two years in a row. And his reward is the sack.

Truly bizarre.

Spurs are clearly run by muppets and success all starts at the top. Look at the other muppet run club - Newcastle, down in the relegation zone with Spurs.

I'm waiting for the time to come when i'll actually begin to feel sorry for Spurs, thankfully that time has yet to come. For the time being i can witness their prodigious mediocrity with happiness. I think Dawson's sending off really highlighted the fragile state of mind that Spurs are in atm.
