Trade Ivan to Penrith for 2019

So as much as I hate Parra I will have to barrack for them this weekend.. perhaps a scenario where Rif are up by 20 and get run down after going to golden point , thus giving the coach the ultimate heartbreak and also not letting Parra get much in the way of for & against.
Ps.. as long as Moses the shitbag is responsible for any points the Rif get and doesnt have a hand in their tries Parra get.

A bit of a random idea but I wonder would fans of both clubs accept this trade

To Penrith
Russell Packer
Josh Reynolds

To Tigers
James Tamou
Dallin Watene Zelezniak

As a Tigers fan I think I'd it would be a reasonable outcome for both clubs. Ivan needs to take responsibility for his recruitment.

I'm assuming Penrith are shot in terms of culture and an injection of new talent might shift their fortunes?

Player salaries would be quite similar at least with Packer/Tamou. I'm kind of assuming Penrith move Maloney on for them to make space for Reynolds.

Obviously its all hypothetical but I do think that player trades would inject a lot interest from a fan perspective, particularly for clubs who have suffered early season losses..

The only players I'd touch at the riff are Kikau/Fisher Harris/Blake

Rest are duds imo, or just severely out of form. Prob the latter

Packer and Ivan are not on the best of terms at the moment apparently, so I suspect that wont fly.....

They don't seem like a boys club on the field. They don't look like a team that trusts each other. Look at Kikau's non effort for the last try a couple of days ago, backpedaled while three of four of his team mates got carried over the try line. DWZ and Edwards not calling the bomb. Doesn't look like a great deal of mateship there. Something is rotten, I think it is beyond Cleary.

From what I've heard, the whole Tyrone May fiasco is just the tip of the iceberg and there are some extremely anxious and distracted "players" at the foot of the mountains. Can't really blame Cleary for that although a strong, Madge-like leader may have instilled more confidence within the playing group.
For mine, this is somewhat synonymous with a broader issue at Penrith which stems from Gould's recruitment and retention paradigm.

I heard similar mail from a pretty reliable source which also stems back to the reason Harawira-Naera was released...apparently he was blamed for the vid getting out. The playing group is still factionalised because of that. Coach Cleary's position is that he's not there to settle immature squabbles like that and his non-confrontation approach is seen as weakness by the players not involved or taking sides in the dispute (probably the senior professionals amongst the group).
Apparently it's a mess!

Seeing Ivan the Terrible absolutely cop it from Kent and co in the media for his contemptuous press conference yesterday was absolute bliss.

The Riff are an absolute mess. :)

Ivan needs to get the Penrith players together and give them an inspiring motivational speech about loyalty and commitment.

Would be truly inspirational having Ivan talk about camaraderie among the playing group, why don't they up the ante and do it while they're gangbanging a local lass?

Penrith have had the softest draw in history for 4 years in a row. Its a soft comp. Face the facts.

Cronulla's premiership in 2016 was soft as a cushion.

Have to say IC's comments on not being interested in Reynolds and Packer really makes me wonder why the hell he got them for WT. I know club and team circs are different but if they add that little impact why did he sign them for so much money and such long contracts at WT? I have to wonder if his disinterest regarding WT was that early on into his stewardship and the degree of contact / manipulation happening on the friendship front between Penrith CEO and IC that he would sign such players without thought to unnatural contract length or the huge dollars for each.
