I know club and team circs are different but if they add that little impact why did he sign them for so much money and such long contracts at WT?

You answered the first part of your question plus who do they replace at Penrith?

Secondly, we hadn’t and still haven’t played semi final footy for a long time. You probably need to offer something over the top to entice decent first grade standard players to club.

They have dream draw .. but unlike us they are taking full advantage and winning .
We have to remember, the NRL draw has been a farce for years, some tough, some so so and for some, simply a dream. It is what it is. Good teams use it well, win the games they should win, play well and just get a win now and then that in hindsight may have been an upset, etc, and so on.

The Tigers for so long, couldn't beat the times coming last etc, can always put on a hell of a performance against the Storm and then the others are all over the place. It gives us arm chair critics a chance to let rip here.

At the end of the day, the Riff might play in September and people will talk about the 7 in a row and then the end of year summary will say, the Tigers showed promise and 2010 will be important because Madge has the team he wants.

He’s a good coach but he did the wrong thing by us by holding secret meetings through his agent or whatever with another club when for all we knew he was on the bus.

On that basis, his credibility is shot and he has no ethics or personal integrity.

Any glory he ever gets is built off the back of betraying and lying to every single person at west tigers, our sponsors, members and fans.

I can’t even look at the bloke.

.

The draw is and has been a complete farce for years. In theory it’s meant to be you play odds or evens twice and the other once. For example teams that finished 1/3/5 etc the previous years twice and 2/4/6 etc once. That way ends up pretty fair for everyone. However they then want 2 derbies for everyone so Broncos/Cowboys, Sharks/Dragons etc twice a year so that skewes everything.

For instance somehow the Eels play each of Roosters, Storm and Souths once. The top 3 teams from last year, and then again this year?

It makes no sense and some teams continually get looked after whilst others don’t. Until everyone plays each other twice, once or we have conferences we will continue to have some teams unfairly placed on the ladder.

The double ups would be fairer by way of a random lot drawn by a well recognised dickheaded idiot such as Andrew Fifita.

They could make a lottery out of it and donate the proceeds to kids hospitals.

If the storm meets the titans a few time, no one is interested anyways.

Or say the “good”conference” v “bad or evil”

Good conference;

West’s
Souths
Titans
North qld
Saints
Sharks
Panthers
Warriors

Evil conference:

Storm
Roosters
Canberra
Brisbane
Manly
Dogs
Knights
Eels

If you think some teams draw doesn’t give them an elevated position on the ladder then check what is happening to the Knights when they finally play someone at full strength

He deserves a lot of credit for walking into a Chernobyl and turning it into a Kashiwazaki-Kariwa, I'll give him that.

Good call on the conferences Vic. I would go with Sydney vs the rest. Whatever you want to call the other one. I would move saints to the other conference based solely on the fact they train out of, and have more home games at Wollongong.

The good thing about this system is you have more local derbies in Sydney and the one club teams that have a massive leg up have to play each other twice. Each conference plays their teams twice for 14 rounds and then the other conference once. Winds up being 22 rounds which gives some more flexibility around origin. The players can then shut up about their supposed workload.

I’m pretty sure I watched every Press conference ivan did with us, he never blamed the refs once for a loss. It actually frustrated me as I do think a good old fashioned ref spray from a coach is a good idea now and again.

So to hear his halftime tantrum at Ashley Klein then in the press conference to hear him say that he thinks they’ve been shafted in every single game this year shows me that he is a man feeling the pressure.

Today they had 57 tackles in the opposition 20 for 3 tries. Canberra had 15 for 5. God knows what their attack will loook like next year without Maloney. Good luck.
