hes already said he doesn't want to go and is happy to be a arsenal player, barca dont value him beyond 30mill

My thinkng is for the past two seasons there's been a heap of speculation and even comments from Cesc about him wanting to leave and it's been played out in the media which infuriated Wenger and Arsenal and it never evenuated.

This time Cesc comes out and says he's happy at Arsenal and there's been hardly any talk compared to previous windows.

You think after another tropheyless and overall bitterly disappointing season he really all of a sudden wants to stay? Makes zero sense.

but with FFP coming in next season you have to spend that little bit extra for a top young english talent, its like arsenal, Gervinho from Lille, who was basically the best player in the double winning team will cost them about 12mill euros,

they also going for a young english kid from southampton alex oxlade chamberlain and they wont settle for anything less than 14mill for a 18yr old playing in Div 3

for some reason english players are 30%+ more on transfer fees

I'm not sure you can put a percentage on it, I think players are worth what ever some one will pay.

I also think you'll find that if you guys buy Gervinho you will be paying alot more than 12mill, I just hope he doesn't turn out to be another Arshavin for you guys

hes already said he doesn't want to go and is happy to be a arsenal player, barca dont value him beyond 30mill

I saw an article last week that said he is very frustrated with Arsenal and cant wait to get out, but like alot of European articles, not sure if serious.

Modric isn't going anywhere, thank god for that.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...e-at-any-price-to-Chelsea-or-anyone-else.html

"I wish to make it absolutely clear, as I have said previously, that none of our key players will be sold this summer," said levy.
"We are building a team for the future to consistently play at the highest level and retaining quality players is crucial to that.
"In respect of Luka Modric, we are not prepared to sell, at any price, to Chelsea Football Club or any other club.
"We made our stance on this issue abundantly clear in writing to Chelsea. They chose to ignore it and then subsequently made the offer public.
"For the avoidance of any doubt, let me reiterate that we shall not enter into any negotiations whatsoever, with any Club, regarding Luka.
"We now consider this matter closed."

Rumours in the Portuguese press that Tottenham is chasing after Falcao from Porto. Hands off biatches!

Can't see it happening though, as if he was to move, it would certainly be to a more prestigious club (no offense to the spurs)...

It looks like Alexis Sanchez could be heading to Barcelona :)

SANTIAGO, June 19 (Reuters) - Italy’s Udinese have agreed to transfer Chilean winger Alexis Sanchez to Barcelona for around $54 million, Chilean media reported on Sunday.

The gifted 22-year-old, who is in Chile’s squad preparing for next month’s Copa America in Argentina, will travel in the coming days to Spain to seal his move to the European champions.

“Udinese agree on the sale of Sanchez to Barcelona for $54 million,” the daily La Tercera said, adding that the player’s Argentine agent Fernando Felicevich had “concluded a pre-accord for a four-year (contract) for $4.4 million.”

Sanchez, known as “Kid Marvel”, scored 12 goals this season and helped Udinese finish fourth in Serie A to reach a Champions League qualifying berth.

El Mercurio said Sanchez had been granted permission by Chile coach Claudio Borghi to miss next Thursday’s friendly against Paraguay “to have the medical tests (at Barcelona)”.

Sanchez, set to turn out for Chile in a friendly against Estonia in Santiago later on Sunday, was signed by Udinese in 2006 for $2.8 million. He was loaned to Argentina’s River Plate in 2007.

Does this make Falcao and Hulk worth 80 mill each?

we aint the only ones talking to him
Yeah, I know... Plenty of clubs courting him. Tottenham is just the latest.

I'm just wondering which part of "we're not selling any of the main players or coach this season" is so hard to understand for all those clubs?

Although most of the approaches are probably only media rumours...

I think you are right, we may be linked to him by the media but I haven't heard anything to back that up.

I reckon at least 95% of what is printed in the media over there regarding transfers is horse shit

You're being generous there Twizz.

54 million US?

I rate Sanchez, but that's a huge amount for a player who only scored 12 goals last season.

95%? very generous. The media don't have a clue. Last week we had a healine on Sunday saying Liverpool hijack United Jones bid with a £22 million bid. The next day we had Jones signs for United for £16million.

not bad for a winger

He played a lot just of the front man, but was one of the stars of Italy. Looks good, but whether he can shift Messi, Villa or Pedro is a different matter.

considering they said they can't Afford a much better player in fabregas

They will probably sell Ibra to a Milan team, Villa is being pimped around the prem, and both Xavi and Inesta are on a few wishlists. Barca are pretty skint and some will leave.

I think they want Fabregas to hand in a transfer request to get the value down. Arsenal are like United with Ronaldo. Everyone knows he is going to end up there, but you can't let him go cheap. It has to be a "well you can't say no to that" type of bid. A bit like what spurs are waiting from with Modric i believe.
