Transfer Rumour Mill

95%? very generous. The media don't have a clue. Last week we had a healine on Sunday saying Liverpool hijack United Jones bid with a £22 million bid. The next day we had Jones signs for United for £16million.

He played a lot just of the front man, but was one of the stars of Italy. Looks good, but whether he can shift Messi, Villa or Pedro is a different matter.

They will probably sell Ibra to a Milan team, Villa is being pimped around the prem, and both Xavi and Inesta are on a few wishlists. Barca are pretty skint and some will leave.

I think they want Fabregas to hand in a transfer request to get the value down. Arsenal are like United with Ronaldo. Everyone knows he is going to end up there, but you can't let him go cheap. It has to be a "well you can't say no to that" type of bid. A bit like what spurs are waiting from with Modric i believe.

I can't see Cesc blatantly making a transfer request. Not publicly anyway.

I read an article a week or so ago where he admitted that he regretted suggesting that he wanted to return to Barcelona this time last season.

45m. Nothing less. And Barca are fully aware of that.

12 goals for someone who is primarily a winger is a very good effort in the Serie A, where the defenses are a fair way better than those in the Premier League as a whole...or any other league for that matter.

Sanchez is a tremendous player and definately will make Barca an even better team next year.

Sanchez---Messi---Iniesta
----------Villa------------

That's just ridiculous.

I honestly don't understand the values thrown out for players like Bale and then Nasri reportedly wouldn't be worth as much. Makes absolutely no sense.

Sánchez is a boss, plays wing, 10 and up front and was part of the second or third highest scoring partnership in Serie A history. Bale isn't even remotely close he's gotta kick the ball 50 metres behid his man to beat him. Samir Nasri has £10m deducted because he's a twat

Nasri has one year left on his contract and at the mo seems unwilling to sign a new one, hence the price.

Careful with the insults though TT, Bayern are one of the favorites to buy him as Arsenal don't want to sell to another Premiership team. Bayern have also been linked with Alex from Chelsea, as they cannot agree a fee for Boeteng at city. Chances are that is a plant to get the price down and Boeteng will be a Bayern player by the end of summer.

As for Cesc, i doubt he will put a request in, and if Barca buy Sanchez then they cannot afford Cesc so it would be better for him not to. Aresenal cannot sell for less than 45 million. However (and this maybe for the arsenal thread) if they buy Falcao and stick Van Persie just behind, i doubt you would miss him that much.

In other Arsenal news, Clichy looks like he is off, with both Liverpool and Roma chasing him.

Barca has had a bid turned down for Rossi from Villareal, hence there increased interest in Sanchez.

Chelski linked with Falcao and João Moutinho, unsurprisingly. David Luiz linked to Barca surprises me since they say they have money issues and can't afford Cesc

WTF? Only in England is there talks of Nasri to Bayern there's been no chatter of any even an informal from Bayern, it is highly doubtful that Nasri will be at FCB next year. We are after Arturo Vidal who will cost less in the transfer and wage demands, Nasri would command a ridiculous wage and the club wouldn't take it on unless they shed some high profile players and in a year when we host the CL final they won't get rid of the key players.

my money is on Falcao following Villa Boas to Chelski, I heard he's got 80mill to splash

with Guus as football director or what ever title he's got they will be a huge force but I think the FFP will effect them big time

are you guys expecting a few players to move out ?

Mexes signed with Milan, Riise is on his way to Fulham, Doni to Liverpool, Julio Sergio to Malaga.

We may also sell Vucinic and Menez, though this remains to be seen.

As for Doni, it has to be as backup. I am just glad there is a club stupid enough to sign him.

True that.

Liverpool still haven't figured out the whole "don't play sh*t, older players like Joe Cole 80K a week" logic.

Menez > Arsenal please.

Looks like Forlan may be on his way out of Atletico and going to Inter. Would be a big loss, probably a bigger one than Aguero.

Alot of pressure on Falcao for the upcoming season.

Imminent signings of Eden Hazard and Gary Cahill to Arsenal. Kaka and Sneijder are also possibilities.

Hazard is twice the player Nasri is. Kaka or Sneijder would make up for the loss of Fabregas. Cahill partnered up with Vermaelen would rival Vidic-Ferdinand as the best CB pair in the Premier League.

Arsenal to become a contender by the end of the week.

We'll be lucky to get one of the above mentioned names.

After the Mata scenario, I'm not taking any rumors seriously until they're snapped in an Arsenal jersey. Hazard is a possibility. There have been a lot of reports in the French media about how he 'wants' to play for Arsenal, has had meetings with Wenger in the past and so forth. It's simply a case of settling on a valuation with Lille. If Mata is worth 25m pounds, then Hazard surely is between 15-20.

I think a LB is a higher priority than a CB tbh.

Arsenal have more chance of signing Ronaldo and Messi by Wednesday than landing either Kaka or Sneijder. For starters, their wages would far surpass the clubs stringent 'salary cap'.

Arsenal has 100 million pounds to spend. There is no way we're going to spend 100 million on signings, there is no reason why we cant spend say 15m on Cahill, 25m on Hazard and another 20-30m on one of Kaka or Sneijder and then set aside a chunk of the rest to pay for whatever they make over our 'cap'. And don't forget with the sale of Fabregas and Nasri, we don't just have their fee money but also as much as 200k a week in wages off our books.

If the will is their we have the means to afford Kaka/Sneijder.

And about Hazard specifically, reports today are saying Arsenal and Hazard have agreed to personal terms (his wage) and the only thing left is for Arsenal and Lille to agree on a fee. Lille value him at 26 million, word is Wenger believes he's worth as much as 35million and would be willing to go that far because he thinks Hazard is a genuine world class top tier player. He sees him becoming the next big thing.

As for Sneijder, he and Van Persie are teammates for Holland and good friends, Sneijder wants to play with him and Van Persie has been urging Wenger to get him.

Wenger needs to make his new captain happy or RVP will be in the same position Fabregas/Nasri were in this time next year.

I think we'll sign 3 big names before the window is out.
