hes a one trick pony, until he improves his all round game, thats all he will be. hes going to be sold for more than CR7, hes not even the 1/4 player ronaldo is. the likes of Hazard, Reus, Robben Di Maria, Ozil are all better than this bloke.

I understand don't why people are factoring in the silverware comparison between Bale and Ronaldo. Yes, Bale is obviously not worth that money. But the amount of silverware he has won is totally irrelevant. Bale plays for Spurs. Ronaldo played for Manchester U-f**king-nited. End of story.

He doesn't strike me as the most marketable player either (didn't even make the top 10 PL sales last season) so Madrid won't get the merchandise ROI that they did on Ronaldo and Goldenballs for example.

Given the amount of money and doubts over his ability to flourish as a big fish in a big pond, he could be Kaka Mk II.

Meanwhile, I'm staggered that Chelsea appear set to splash out 30 million pounds on Willian. How many attacking midfielders do they need?

Hazard, Oscar, Mata, Schurrle, Lampard, De Bruyne, van Ginkel, Moses, and now Willian?

Ridiculous.

Sign a striker FFS.

Hopefully once this Bale deal is done the market will f**ken open up for David Moyes.

Hopefully Bale coming in will make it possible for us to go after Ozil or Modric.

Who knows... maybe Ronaldo back... Lol... Dreams are free...

Jose Mourinho claims Anzhi Makhachkala midfielder Willian has chosen to join Chelsea over Tottenham and insists Juan Matawill not be leaving Stamford Bridge this summer.

Spurs looked set to capture the signature of the Brazil international in a move that would see him become their third club-record deal of the summer, following deals for Roberto Soldado and Corinthians midfielder Paulinho.

However, a late €37 million bid (£31.6m) lodged by rivals Chelsea on Thursday added competition for his signature and Mourinho now believes the player has chosen a move to Stamford Bridge instead.

"He’s an extra target [to Rooney]. We have to do a medical," Mourinho told reporters when asked if the move for the Brazilian is complete.

"I am happy with my squad but every one of us says we are happy. We always want something more and never close the door."

The 25-year-old travelled to Tottenham’s Enfield Training Centre to complete a medical on Wednesday, despite not having signed a contract with the north London club.

Mourinho believes Spurs acted with "danger" by performing a medical before the deal was complete, but denied speculation that any move for the midfielder would force Spain international Mata to leave the club.

"That's the danger of medicals before contracts," he continued, when asked about Willian’s potential move to White Hart Lane.

"I want a 22-player squad. If somebody comes, somebody leaves. We don't need to sell. Loan probably – yes.

"He [Mata] is a player we all like, a player we all want to keep. We want more quality, not less quality."

Casillias to Chelsea is the best of the lot. I'm sure he'd love to sit on the bench under Jose again.
