Liverpool got Sahin on loan from Real Madrid. Likely midfield/forward line of
Allen Lucas Sahin
Gerrard Boroni Suarez

Or something simila looks alright for a side trying to get back a bit of credibility.

It's actually quite rare to have Spaniards in the BL. Usually they stay or in the past 10-15 years take moves to Serie A, now a few in England. Currently there's Escudero and Jurado at Schalke and Dominguez at Gladbach who was on the bench but didn't play this morning but he's only just signed.

Jurado is good, very technical. Plays in behind the front man or can drift wide. Escudero doesn't play much and I haven't seen Dominguez. I can't think of any one else besides Raul of the top of my head. Javi Martinez is the first ever Spanish player for FCB I believe.

South Americans on the other hand have been a mixed bag and probably the bad just edging out the good. A lot are signed as teenagers touted as great prospects and many fail to adjust to the lifestyle and the league.

€40m is a lot but it's good to see the talent coming in to the league for a change.

Lol poor gunners who just signed a German international from a relegated team, signed little Montpellier's striker the year they make the CL who have the money to match these wages but won't don't do it but still have the means to pay wages higher than all teams worldwide bar a handful, jog on with that cry me a river bullshit.

Btw he actually took p at cut from what he could have been getting because Athletic wouldn't come to an agreement to a transfer fee less €40m. That's what happens when you're a prestigious club you can attract talent and when you're one of the best run clubs in the world you can pay the money the dirty oil clubs have inflated the market. Don't be mad at us and cry your club can compete but won't.

Difference, arsenal dont get the lions share on tv revenue or have a private tv deal.

But without that we still have money, its the stupid fees that are ruining it, martinez wont even be a walk up starter for bayern, he destroys their transfer fee. We were looking at Lars Bender but now that goes out the window cause they will want 30+ now, when he is only worth 15 - 18.

I wish him the best of luck, but something has to be done about transfer fees and wages FFFP wont do anything in the end.

I'm sorry, you're really bringing up tv deals? That's f**king laughable coming from an EPL fan. The top clubs get higher distribution based on performance but it's nothing like La Liga, kill that noise.

£40m spent by Arsenal before the sale of RVP & Song, don't even begin to have a whinge lol

As for FFP you realise that if enforced FCB would be the biggest winner?

As for Lars Bender, am I supposed to feel sorry for Arsenal? Arturo Vidal agrees to personal terms with FCB and Rudi Völler wanted in excess of €20m because we wouldn't sell Toni Kroos to them so he took the piss and sold Vidal to Juventus for €12m. English clubs are a great reason why this market has been inflated.

Martinez not a walk up start lmao You think Emre Can is ready for some reason (his one on one defending is rubbish) and probably in the "oh but Toni Kroos can play in the 6" crowd. I really think you're taking the piss. If you're serious explain how he doesn't fit in or won't start because I need a laugh. Kroos can't defend, Gustavo can't distribute. Martinez does both effectively. He fits in perfectly. When you have 60% possession you don't require a defensive minded player like Gustavo who teams allow space because he can't do anything with it and Kroos as said can't defend and is more effective in behind the front man.
