Lets face it, look at any comp around the world in any sport and there are sides down the bottom that aren't winning, unfortunately for the Dogs atm its them, its the circle of life, there time will come again, Barrett just couldn't handle to fire while they weren't.

EPL - Norwich City - 5 wins 25 losses

A League - Perth Glory - 4 wins 16 losses

IPL - Mumbai Indians - 3 wins 9 losses

AFL - West Coast Eagles - 1 win 8 losses

Super League - Toulouse - 2 wins 10 losses

It's the way sport works, NRL are never going to have 16 clubs all winning more games then there losing.

& to be honest the Bulldogs roster is the worst in the comp, there best player is a winger LMAO.

Matt Burton has thrown away important development years for the money which is a shame considering he could be a very good player.

Barrett is such a fraud I don’t understand why he is rated as a coach by anyone. He has been a failure everywhere he has gone.

The important differences are that our comp has a cap where all clubs spend the lot, and the Dogs have been dire for years.

They will try and get ciraldo he seems to have big wraps on him and the dogs have a few of his ex players on their books

Gus would be the best coach imo

You’re not seriously comparing the EPL to the NRL?
Even if an Oil rich Arab Prince bought an NRL they will be capped at what they can spend on their roster

Unless you have an awesome kid who plays in the halves Gus is not rehiring you. Farewell my beautiful friend.
Gus did not rehire Cleary trust me. He wanted Bennett and if that fell trough Ciraldo. The board bringing in Cleary was why he left, he'd used up all of his credits on Hook.

Go on the socials and people are hammering the club for backstabbing him. He’s failed in every job he’s had.

He bought it on himself tbh, he got the Manly job at 38 and just had to bide his time without causes dramas and he'd have a decent roster as we speak instead he carried on as soon as they started losing a few games about there facilities and winged he had to bring in table and chairs from home lol..

He went back to Penrith as a assistant they make the GF and stories pop up about how Barrett is the man behind Panthers attack.. yea ok..

but the main reason he finds himself in this spot is he wasn't willing to grind away and wait for a job again, he took the first job that come up which was a side that was always going to win f**k all games.

Guy deserves to be effectively career over as a head coach for being a up himself moron.

in previous years yes, but their roster is a lot better this season and barely any improvement, hence why Barret is gone

Who appointed Barrett? Because that's a major F up - the guy is clearly in the pantheon of the worst coaches ever to have a head coaching role in the NRL, like Tony Kemp/Paul Langmack/Stephen Kearney etc.
Warriors will be after him then…

Does anyone really think Gus is going to say anything other than Baz decided to leave, he wasn’t sacked and we wish him the best for his future?

Said it before, but this rhetoric about there being "not enough playing talent to sustain more NRL teams" is a deflection tactic to take the focus off more competition for the existing teams and also to take the heat off coaches. There's enough talented players (some not in the NRL currently) it's the lack of decent coaches with a current gig that leads to the discrepancies we see in ability.

If only there were 16 Rickys. Oh, 17 next year.

Seems there's a lot of failures in that joint, and all but one of them will still be there next weekend. If they suddenly start climbing the ladder they'll know they got the right one.
