It's a tough position to be in. I'm pretty sure that Benji isn't the answer. It looks like Reynolds isn't the answer. Maybe Mbye is the answer. I don't think Matterson is the answer.

My take is give someone other than Benji a chance.
Maybe mbye at 6 and Thompson at 1

I think it's clear we need to do something about our 6. I'm okay with Gamble or Mbye playing there. I think Madge is going to have a problem with that position.

Maybe give Reynolds a go and see how he goes. Maybe Benji will come good. I wonder how long you give these two guys though.

Benjo was bought specifically for depth and culture, so I suspect you dont need to give him a go.

Reynolds is the highest paid player in the team I think, so you need to play him.

If hes not the answer we would know if the first 6 weeks. Remember, hes been away from the game for pretty much a year.

I must of watched a different game. Benji was instrumental in your points.
Not his fault your outside backs cannot defend.

This will be where you lose all your games, out wide.

Not being nasty, just my observation.

Agree Reynolds hasn't had a chance to do much, injuries happen, I, like most, hope we see why we paid so much for him. I think he will.

The reason the warriors got in position to score tries 2 & 3

2: On halfway Benji puts in a shit kick that rebounds off the warriors into touch, turnover on halfway. Warriors score next set

3: last tackle Benji runs across field and throws a cut out pass to no one, we lose 20m. Warriors score next set

Totally agree our wide defence is a massive issue, but it isn’t nearly as big an issue if the opposition isn’t constantly being given cheap field position

Any assistant coach in his first year will attack our edges and if they do not improve it will be the end of us.

The outside backs come up and in when there is zero chance of shutting anything down, they need to work together and slide in one movement, equal distance at equal speed At the very least by sliding you will force the extra pass which may go forward, get dropped or be a chance of putting someone over the sideline..

If I have to watch another year of watching cut out passes sailing over Nofu's head and him turning and chasing too late it will do my head in.

Agree with all others 6 is a worry, I personally hope Reynold's comes good. He is always in the fight and never gives up which is an attitude we have lacked in recent years. If he can get anywhere near his 2014 form it would be great next to Brooks.

Yep .. i think when Nofo is concerned he has a total lack football brains .. it is a very good trait to be able to push in and then preempt the play and know exactly when to turn.. it seems to me every one that has ever coached him has tried to teach him but he is the same year after year and as he is getting slower its far more obvious he just cant get it!. He can be coached until the cows come but unfortunately he like so many players just lack the nous or intelligence to read plays.
Its only going to get worse , and his attack is just rubbish 20metres side ways runs as well these days so i cant see his future in NRL lasting beyond this year with what he currently offers.

Too early to tell for this season but that's how it is to now...he needs a one on one specialist coach...did I hear right that Pat Richards is on the staff ?

No its not to early to tell .
He has had years to change with numerous coaches.. u are either game smart or game dumb .. that shit cant be coached .he is dumb . he was a run hard and straight player and one of the best finishers in the game .. his tries outweighed his defense and pathetic Edward Scissorhands.... but we are now at the arse end of his career and his positives apart from loyalty are virtually nil

Yep he is glaringly one heck of an illiterate footballer. Our outside backs’s lethargy & stupidity in defence is a dream for opposition coaches when they are devising tactics in preparing there teams to play us.

The true fact about Nofo is that in defence he has not got any better, you would think with experience, that the penny would drop and he would realise running in and leaving his man unmarked just doesn’t work, obviously a slow learner.

I hope Benji and Farah retire by 30 June, allow a couple of last minute opportunity signings and that would allow clear water for Liddle and Reynolds and their understudys can be Gamble and ???.

I agree so much with this and all the other people who said the same thing. Nofo is dumber than stepped in dog shit,
If he doesn't get it by now, you have to ask what hope does he have. As for having backs that slide as the same pace and time, we have no chance of that happening with Nofo. If the penny hasn't dropped by now to stop rushing in then it never will. Put Jennings on the wing and introduce Nofo to his reggies team mates. Specialist coaches at this level take you from good to very good, they don't stop you from being a dumb merkin.

Risky move waiting till June for decent halves to be available.

The second of Fusituas tries was due to 3 of our forwards holding their player upright and he still managed to get an offload which ment Jennings and Thompson had 4 players coming towards them making them sitting ducks. Alot of tries we concede are probably due to our forwards having 3 men in a tackle and then a quick play the ball still occurs and the outside men are out numbered especially when the fullback joins the back line. Vise versa we don't get quick play the balls at the other end so we have to barge our way over the line when we attack.

But Nofo is a weakness on top of this the one they had disallowed for a forward pass he had no right to not be marking the winger especially when it was only down a small blind side.
