the trailer is interesting...

not sure one was required for the final episode for a show like this.

That was a pretty satisfying ending.

I really didn't care for the mystery element of the show, so I'm glad we got to spend the last 10 minutes in its world just focusing on Rust and Marty.

Yeah no big twist.

I thought it brilliant though, and a twist wasn't required.

Stunning show.
Agreed, the twist wasn't needed, when he was walking though looking for Childers Junior it was pretty intense. They couldn't have found a better location for it.

I was waiting for a big twist too, suppose it felt good to just have proper closure to it.
I guess not having a twist was the twist lol.

That search scene was creepy as f**k.

It was like the end of blair witch mixed with the dark room scene from I am legend!

Not a very good finale, show didn't much deliver on what it was promising. All of that character establishment only to have a blue graphic flash on screen and all of a sudden Rust got a feeling and his belief about death has 180'd. All that extensive cult build up thrown out the window to have it all boil down to a cliched arena melee against a single big bad guy. All the questions of the why barely even touched on. Woody at least was done well.

I found it a little strange that they only brought down the one guy in the end. But maybe the cult theme will feature in the following series (which I'm sure will be greenlit).

didnt they touch on that issue though? thats were marty says 'yeah but we got our guy'.

2 detectives cant clean up a whole state. it was never going to be a every question answered finale.

They didn't answer anything though, so why bother alluding to it all? Making it central to the case and devoting so much screen time to it? The supernatural elements, the historic family connections? What do for? So much was so meaningless.

What super natural elements?

How were the family connections meaningless?
