More Sydney teams would survive without grant than regional teams. Gold Coast, Newcastle & Cowboys most recent clubs in trouble. Storm wouldn't be here without money news pumping money into them.
Melbourne has ten afl teams. There's not too many Sydney teams, they just don't maximize the fans they have.
No you wouldn’t - you really wouldn’t. We have had four teams from Sydney essentially die in the last 40 years because they ran out of money - Norths ran out of money, Wests became like RL’s Fitzroy getting beat by 50 points every week (and before they merged they were on death’s door a few times) Newtown ran out of money, Souths were a financial basket case before Russell Crowe took them over, Balmain ditto.
This isn’t taking into account Cronulla- who have been bailed out how many times more times than I can remember and Manly who have been essentially saved by the Penn family otherwise they would have probably died.
Then you have Newcastle which goes to my point of not having another NSW/Sydney side
How much evidence do you need to suggest that it wouldn’t be good idea to put another side in NSW/Sydney
