Pretty much sums up my thoughts too, especially the confusion part. Also glad you mentioned Dufty - surely someone could properly develop him into a weapon.

Only thoughts we don’t share are for the first time ever in over 50years as a tragic Dragons supporter I’m not looking forward to the season at all - I’m totally flat with little care factor. And there’d be plenty like me - ripe for the picking by other codes here and overseas.

Those in charge for the last 6 years should be bloody ashamed.

Hang in there Mate. I had a break, it worked for me. i thought I might just find another hobby/sport to follow. I honestly put a lot of effort in trying to be an English premier league supporter, still might but I haven’t tried hard enough cos I’m back. I’m blaming the forum just quietly. But I suspect It’s like genetics, like a habit you can’t shake. the image the old man being buried with his dragons jersey doesn’t help my conscious either, im Kinda destined to be another dragon tragic

In regards to Dufty, it’s hard cos there was a time last year where I felt our only chances of scoring were a break from Duffy or a barge over try from Rav, but both don’t fill me with confidence as established fg players, would be happy to see them given more opportunities though, after this year a I’d only renew if they delivered as there’s talent on its way, perhaps even before the seasons out

I think Dufty is signed up until the end of 2021. With Lomax and a a couple of good young juniors coming through, I can't see Dufty getting much time in the NRL fullback position.

Nice post, mate.
I’ve been following the English football and Queens Park Rangers since 71.

QPR are an even bigger basket case than our Dragons. My doctor had pinpointed my alcohol dependency on these two sporting clubs for which they have a lot to answer for.

l, like you and most on here are the wounded, tortured souls who know no better.

I too, buried a dear family friend with my Dragons jersey as it was going down, cause he too was a Saints tragic.

Better days ahead, friend.

Lovodua is in our top 30. FMD. NRL are as useless as our media department.

Interesting George
I think he could develop nicely as a no9
Will be the defining year though given more talent coming through

What young hooker would u have gone for from the 20s or CC or NRL ? To fit in our cap?

OKB we often say it’s just a game but excerpts like these surely prove long term supporters of league show passion to rival supporters of any other code.

In regards to the comments about English Premier League, funnily enough we have our wires mixed. When I referred to English Premier League, I was actually referring to English football not League, I’ve had access to the English Premier league football for quite a while now as we have an Optus internet subscription. My son watches it a lot and on a recent cruise spent a fair bit of time watching games. Although not fully converted I have to admit I’m starting to see the attraction. We watched a few if think it’s called Budsleiger (or similar) as well which I think has player/teams from Germany. I am amazed at the athskillfull athletes and some brilliantly coached teams

I'm happy with it, he has great potential. My comment was in reference to NRL still having him as a Deve player.
Edit I have altered the original comment.

All good mate.
QPR are actually a soccer team.
The poms call it football and so have l but people often refer to football as rugby league.

As you say, the quality of the games are exceptional, even in the secondary league, the Championship, which QPR are in.

Didn’t Timm get signed to a. Bronco feeder club.
Unsigned by the Dragons...does not mean he has not signed elsewhere.
The only put signed at other 1st grade level clubs info or SL

Tyrell is an Eels junior, not Panthers. Cut loose because he couldn't defend and refused or was unable to learn.

Powerful ball runner, but a bit small for the back row where his game is most suited. Thinks he's a centre but gets absolutely slaughtered out there in defence.

Certainly won't be replacing Lafai or Aitken unless you have dramas with injury

In his interview he did say that he came from Penrith but must have started at parra in the juniors before going to souths for his 20 games in FG ?
