Gee you really can't help yourself can you.

Once again (for the dummies) at no time have i defended May's actions regarding the sex tape.

I don't have to agree with you're opinion just because YOU demand it.

Now finally GO AWAY.
You kept on harping on that it is grossly unfair that he was dismissed, and it was unfair. You also refused to acknowledge that Coleman, and Philips, were not afforded a second chance, so yes, you defended him. Be kind to yourself, Alice. Calling yourself a dummy, is not nice. Now I am bored with you, and with this topic. 🤡🤡🤣🤣

Do you think May would have been spared if he had posted the the tweet without the pic ?
I wonder if the outrage would have been the same. Goes to show that social media and footy players do not mix.

May stuffed up. Should of been sacked no doubt how it played out was handled poorly.

The club copped a PR Black eye with Hook's mates on NRL 360 when he was fired in August 2018.

A further hit with the way Cleary came across in Nov.

3 Months later the videos came to light. That is 3 bad PR hits in just over 6 months. Reading the room would of told you May has to go because it wasn't going to end well.

That option we aren't having this issue today.

The club chose to try and work with a clearly popular player to get on the right track. Which is the RL way

With that though needs to be extra measures. Players in other clubs get puff pieces from friends in the media. Show him doing things in the Community. Apologise to all involved. The radio silence and seemingly lack of remorse did more harm then good.

I can't remember him doing any media since. He was told to delete the post but not to release a statement?

Though on that. We know of 3 players May, Coleman and Philips that had videos. Yet seemingly the players are still allowed to be loose with Social media.

Even after Api used Social media to again hurt the clubs image did no one step up and censor the Social Media use.

The club dropped the ball and it took sponsors complaining to do something. So players like fans have reason to be annoyed at the situation
Some really good points lamb chop.

But the decision was ultimately a good one in the knowledge that it could ruffle a few internal feathers.

And once again, it was a much stronger statement than the NRLs pathetic fine.

And it’s a quantum leap forward and has done a lot to restore the clubs image and make things right.

In all of the circumstances, it goes a long way and gives the club a fighting chance to break free of the chaos and renew its vows to the greater league community and general public.

I think most people are relieved and happier.

They got this right and I can’t criticise them for that.

The board are to be applauded and thanked.

I haven't posted on here for quite a few years, here's my honest opinion...

Tyrone simply wasn't good enough to compete for a squad position at Panthers anyway. What has transpired has just fast tracked an earlier than expected exit.

Both Nathan and Taylan are professionals and are both fully aware that this was very much a shot across the bow from an entity much larger than Panthers management.

That’s an octopus though. Not a squid…..😳
Same diff.

If she’s lying, I think she could have defamed him and she should apologise.

If she’s telling the truth, sounds like he was making a joke at her expense to show off to his mates, but in a particularly nasty way.

One thing the Panthers don’t get enough praise for is the second nature of multiculturalism pumping through the veins of the club at all known levels. This reflects our way of life in a Western Sydney.

Whatever their shortcomings, the idea of a racist joke wouldn’t even enter the head of a Panther. Not who you guys are. I include Tyrone in that assertion. So he has strength there.

I am a Tigers fan. Not sure you could call me petty. I have been called a great many things by people who don't even follow Rugby League and I am not sure I could put up a decent argument against there character assessment of me.

I have revisited this forum to say I wish to congratulate the Penrith Panthers club on how they have handled this matter. I have also been impressed by a great many posts I have read here.

My immediate impression of May's post of himself outside the courtroom with his coach behind him and the song he put with it would be seen by the vast majority of people as a kick in the guts to the woman concerned and a message in general that everyone who thought he had done wrong could get stuffed.

This image associated not only his team, the whole club, all the Panthers supporters but the entire Penrith area with such an implied statement.

Panthers management had to act for the benefit of all those I mentioned above.

I have gained a great deal of respect for Panthers fans reading the discussion that has taken place here.

It is a pity this episode has taken place to tarnish your well deserved Premiership win.

Well FMD, a decent, non-butthurt Tigpies fan?
They do exist after all!

Lol!

I wasn’t the one who came up with the brain fart thought of Nathan packing his bags and finding another club because of what happened to May.

You wouldn’t even find such melodramatic bullshit in a Mills and Boon novel.

Nope. No fan of May at all.

My only argument here is the club was just looking for an excuse to punt him because of salary cap constraints.
Ok, well I will retract that and apologise.

The conspiracy regarding the salary cap doesn’t cut it, because the club didn’t make him post the Instagram. In fact, i think it was always going to re-sign him. So I can’t subscribe to it.

It’s fake moon landing stuff Jimpster!

Regardless of off field infractions and social media stuff ups, Kikau, Koroisau and Edwards all want contract extensions and in our playing roster, May is the weakest link.

Even without the Instagram stuff up, they would of somehow granted him an early release to negotiate with other clubs

The contract was agreed to before they went to QLD.
Since then TPJ was brought on. Knocking $120k off this years cap
Momo has gone now we need a centre to come in.

The cap situation changed now and they had to clear some space. So I have no doubt then there is this

I have no issue with anything Fletcher is saying. For me though why was this not the plan for when the charges 1st got laid or anytime since?

Any evidence?

Hey, most of my family were almost killed by the IRA back in the day!

Do you have a view on the troubles?

They obviously missed our family’s significant Republican heritage, you would have picked up by now -to be sure!
