So true, they need to fk that magpie off, and become the best tiger brand they can be
The only thing Balmain offers the joint venture is the Tigers logo, Balmain has no $$$, Western Suburbs does.
Leichhardt Oval continues to thrive with large crowds, why play at some large boring Stadium with no atmosphere just because it suits modern times.
Maybe rugby league isn’t mean’t to be a large crowd pulling game week in week out, if the powers that be want that then they need to restructure the competition dramatically.

eh? You do realise professional sports club are first and foremost businesses don’t you?
They have two key kpi’s. 1. Make money 2. Win games, as many as possible.

new stadiums have shown time and again they help meet 1. Which then gives clubs more resources to achieve 2.

Aside from rent, why would they pay for the privilege to have their own team play out of the ground of their choosing? Whom would they even pay? Themselves lol!

You're on another planet if you think there's any reasonable possibility of the Bears forming a joint venture with a Perth based consortium where they aren't either majority stakeholders, or at a stretch, 50/50 split of the club but they hold the license.

Either way, they'd be calling the shots, there'd be nothing stopping them playing as many games as they wish at NSO, and they wouldn't really give two shits about the impact it'd have on Perth or the sport more broadly.

BTW, f**k Sydney memberships. Split home clubs are f**king commercial cancer. You're either a Perth club or a Sydney club, you can't be both at the same time to the best of your ability. In trying you'll only achieve being nothing to everybody, or in the Bears case a Sydney club with a token presence in Perth until they can justify cutting themselves loose of that burden.
Will you please just follow the Raiders, the Bears only want to play one game, yes one game at North Sydney Oval and that is against our hated arch rivals Manly Warringah.
Now stop making things up.

Yes but the Tigers would draw more fans at Leichhardt oval and have a better fan atmosphere behind them than playing at Comm Bank Stadium.
You’ve really got to be there to experience it.

tbf they’ve not said that, theyve said anywhere between 2-6 in statements theyve made

“We’re not saying we want eight games at North Sydney Oval, we know we can’t do that. We want somewhere between two to four” - Moore

“The club has four key non-negotiables around its NRL return in whatever guise that may be – a minimum of four games at North Sydney Oval”

”4-6 at NSO (grass roots tribalism),”

Just because they aren’t achieving it doesn’t mean to say they aren’t all striving to do so!
Especially if privately owned. Ask any owner if they’d rather be pouring their own money in to keep a club afloat or if the club was making a profit for them. I think we know the answer!

Primary aim of a sports team is to win games

most lose money and their owners don’t care

you know that too

Link?

go and ask those English union club owners how they’re feeling about their clubs losing money lol
or Michael Searle,
or tony sage.
Owners pockets only go so deep. Every owner would rather their club was making them money rather than losing them it!

Nah your talking bs again
Really? So most soccer clubs aren’t making a profit? Nfl clubs? NBA clubs? Afl?, F1 teams? French union clubs (have you seen their revenue levels.)? And so it goes on.

if you have some evidence to share that nearly all professional sports clubs in the world are losing money please do share it!
