So why not try and make Broncos, Dolphins & Titans for that matter massive clubs first? Instead of trying to split those fans over even more clubs?

Anyone who lives in SEQ can easily follow one of these clubs and attend games, if they aren’t maximising their audiences then why should we dilute the fan base?

This times x 1, 000. Why is it everybody’s preference to have small clubs or saturate existing markets?

Using that logic why even add the dolphins z. We should’ve waited till the titans and broncos got bigger crowds

gallop for all his faults saw the potential of western Brisbane over a decade ago

There’s def a time for brisbane3, in fact it’s a necessity at some point due to the stupid decision to admit the dolphins. If they’d admitted the firehawks there’d be no need for a brisbane3. The club report showed most rl fans in the northern corridor already followed a club.

Cause derbies & history are interesting, rather then watching plastic clubs with no real fans & devoid of local players..
where Does History come from? It always has to start somewhere lol. Those so called plastic clubs are the ones that tend to be drawing the most fans to them, go figure.

The reason for a second Brisbane team is perfectly valid. A live TV game held in Brisbane (Suncorp) every week. It was a no brainer.

That doesn’t mean you should put more and more sides there though. There might be room for another one in South Brissie in say 10 or so years after the Dolphins and the Titans are secure but that should be it

Just give them another 50 years and they won’t be plastic anymore

heck Cronulla just made the crossover recently

nah panthers, Cronulla, wests tigers, dragons, all plastic clubs as they weren’t founding clubs of the game. Kick them out for some proper clubs i say. Some of the WA clubs are older than some Sydney nrl clubs lol

It had nothing to do with extra game at Suncorp. It's not 1988 anymore. Biggest source of income is TV money & broadcasters wanted extra Brisbane team. No broadcaster has expressed interest in Perth BTW.

Because a city the size of Brisbane can support 2 clubs and having an alternative to the Broncos was a good call as they are a polarising team for many reasons. That was the basis of the Brisbane 2 idea. So why do we need to already be thinking of an alternative to the alternative?

Doesn’t mean we should just keep adding teams because the population is booming and we end up with 5 teams averaging 10-15k. The aim should be 3 or at max 4 SEQteams including GC, all averaging easily 20k+.

These are Sydney folk we are talking to. They think over saturation of clubs that then avg 14k is the model lol
