Lmfao. Are you 80?
I’m in my 30’s so probably younger than you
Lmfao. Are you 80?
Tell me you haven’t been following this story without telling me you haven’t been a following this story. This is the most North Sydney Bears thing that has ever happened lol.
No actually the other way round is better, Perth reds should have not been cut... then we'd have had 30 years of growth in WA by now@Colk , what @MugaB is saying is, look at what happened with the Reds. The ARL let them into the competition without due process and let them get flushed down the drain. The NRL does not want that to happen ever again, and if they think this bid is not right, then so be it. They haven't even taken it to the clubs , they said they can't because it's just not up to standard.
Your post doesn’t make sense.Your post doesn’t make sense. You are worried about ‘supporters’ create a better competition and put teams that can actually compete.
No, not "let them get flushed down the drain" - rather "imposed batshit crazy demands on their finances (paying for all visiting teams travel & accomodation, then stacking reserves on top of that bill for first grade), and basically held their head underwater"
Perth is so rich their backers were looking for investors in Sydney and they couldn’t afford to pay a license feeMan f**k rich cities like Perth and their money, the NRL are onto something with expanding to the third world. Let’s double down and get the Bangladesh Bears up and the Djibouti Jets.
I agree 100%, but it happened because they couldn't sustain themselves and the NRL to Melbourne deal went through and in it the dissolving of the Reds.No actually the other way round is better, Perth reds should have not been cut... then we'd have had 30 years of growth in WA by now
Exactly, and now the NRL doesn't want that to happen and can see holes in this consortiums bid.No, not "let them get flushed down the drain" - rather "imposed batshit crazy demands on their finances (paying for all visiting teams travel & accomodation, then stacking reserves on top of that bill for first grade), and basically held their head underwater"
The Reds had no choice but to go to Superleague, because at least News Ltd was going to cover those costs rather than pass the buck.
Where did I said "supporters" culling existing clubs doesn't make a competition better, the reason the comp is starting to grow now and get better is coz its not trying to chop off parts of its body.
1st grade clubs, create 1st grade players, you will downgrade the competition over time, if culling them from 1st grade
Maybe Cummins, North Sydney and Singo should come together and create their own super club. It can be called Norths Singing Cumdumpsters
Your post doesn’t make sense.
News ltd saw more potential in Cronulla than PerthNo actually the other way round is better, Perth reds should have not been cut... then we'd have had 30 years of growth in WA by now
And then news ltd killed them off when it didn’t need themNo, not "let them get flushed down the drain" - rather "imposed batshit crazy demands on their finances (paying for all visiting teams travel & accomodation, then stacking reserves on top of that bill for first grade), and basically held their head underwater"

Nothing you stated would lead to a better standard of competition. So you don’t believe in creating a better standard of competition?
Well, no it isnt.Asking anyone to pay a fee, when the clubs get the majority of their funding from the NRL is just paper shuffling.
That's has nothing to do with expansion, just poorly run teams, not that the teams need to be relegated to a lower division, get better or stay irrelevant, don't blame the good teams for the others inadequaciesMate there has been a steady increase in lopsided results over the past 5 years. There have been literally three teams that have dominated the competition for the past quarter of a century. The trend has been going that way for a long time - you may as well formalise the process and get on with it.
There is literally zero-zilch-nada chance of some of these teams winning a first grade competition. If you believe in Darwinism, as you yourself have proposed, then get rid of the salary cap or have a promotion - relegation system.
Not with you on this one mate, if a team like Storm in hostile territory can be successful why can`t St. George or Wests, it`s the people running the joints.Mate there has been a steady increase in lopsided results over the past 5 years. If the Reds weren't axed, I think they would've been pretty competitive on the field.News ltd saw more potential in Cronulla than Perth
Plus if the reds weren’t axed there would be no storm
