WA BEARS

I reckon f**k em, focus attention on the media deal and then towards Christchurch team 19.

While Perth is a nice to have, that's exactly what it is for the NRL - a nice to have.

It's just 10% of the Australian population and 5% of the combined Australian + NZ + PNG population, we can live without it.

It will be WA that will seem like a backwater after the next multi billion TV rights deal, expansion into PNG and NZ2. Pull out of hosting origins at West Fumbleball Oval, turn attention to Adelaide instead.

Then in a few years when HBF is crumbling even more, and the NRL is absolutely flying and flowing with cash, see if the WA govt wants to revisit their shitty deal treating NRL as a second rate competition.
Amen! Why the f**k would we give you a team and let you get away with playing them out of a shit stadium (yes, for Perth's best rectangular stadium, it is not good enough). Come to the table or we'll move on without you

Warriors don’t have a coe

Just get them memberships at anytime fitness they will be sorted

Stadium (two) is the most important

Juniors
Tv deal they destroy wa

they have training facilities at Mount Smart that do the job … I don’t think the multi tenanted stadium in Christchurch will offer the same

No, it is a new team in a hostile market against the established sport playing out of Optus Stadium, it's not good enough, not even close to give the Bears a fighting chance.
They arent competing with AFL at Optus. RL will carve out its own niche in WA. One stand of better corporate boxes isnt going to be the deciding factor if a Perth Bears club works or not.

You don’t know that

It’s the least crucial part and easily sorted

And that’s ignoring the promises the lowe bid made

The stadium is the hardest bit

Again your looking for excuses. One stand at HBF park should not decide the fate of NRl expansion. No doubt if theyd announced West stand upgrade you would be saying new stadium or no entry. You seem to be carrying some serious bias against a Perth Bears club.

It’s not one stand that’s bs too

The hill with the standing terrace is awful as well

The other new stand has zero corp facilities and the other stand has no roof

Penrith, Souths, NQ, Manly and Wests have all managed to win a premiership with sht stadiums. Maybe you are over egging the importance?

Please! Corporate boxes are a huge revenue source and also attracting the casual sports fan to the game.

If I'm a born and bred sandgroper that is open to all sports but leans slightly towards AFL here's your choice of game day experiences... Optus Stadium for AFL or shit box suburban ground for RL. We've made it an easy choice from day 1.

We're not asking for a 60k ground with all the bells and whistles. A neat, modern 30k stadium is perfect. AAMI isn't the MCG but at least it gives the storm a chance at providing a quality game day experience in comparison

Stop being ignorant. The new stand has a number of open air corporate boxes with facilitie behind it.

The North stand is half seating and covered half terracing. I like it that way, something a bit different and I often sneak in there for second half to stand and watch the game.

At least it hasnt got two grass hills like the NEW Penrith stadium lol

It’s better than Olympic park was

It has awful corporate facilities so there goes that source of revenue

But it does need more than one stand

Correct, one stand isn't good enough. I'm openly saying the NRL should be taking the stance of new stadium, or at least upgrade to AAMI park-like level or you won't be considered.

good luck convincing the Broncos and Dolphins another team is coming in on their turf. Katoni will be pumped up though.

Christchurch has the stadium but small population...

Perth adds the most value...
NRL to Broncos & Dolphins: How much to get you guys to be OK with Brisbane Easts joining? Alright, that's what we go and ask for.

Simple as that really.

Ok … put Perth in the bin then

Onto Christchurch… who are they dealing with ?
I’ve always thought chch bears is a good fallback if this falls over

Stadium is ready to go
Bears fund it
Etc
Joint ownership between bears and Moffat would be my preference
