Easy to do you can connect a bridge from Kurnell to la perouse..Im sure the 4 junior clubs that easts have could be added to cronullas catchment, or even south sydney too

Who cares! They're buying joseph Sualli, they'll be alright, just keep throwing paperbags at Auberson, he'll go for unders for another 5 seasonsI thought it was only one ...
La Parouse is Souths territory, be careful thereEasy to do you can connect a bridge from Kurnell to la perouse..
Not sure if this is sarcasm, or you actually really mean it,
either way roosters fans actually giving other clubs grieve over attendance and memberships is pretty funny since after winning 2 premierships, the current metrics are woeful, even after going back to back or maybe thats just the ceiling of what they can achieve here in Sydney, maybe instead of trying to relocate or ridicule your neighbouring clubs, pick up and represent elsewhere you can grow
We still own it...and still get more fans to the game..
Not only this decade, anyway enjoy the banter good luck tonite.Just a joke, settle down
The metrics are fine.
You can dance around it all you want with nonsense about local juniors and SCG Trust members, but business matters in professional sport. Clubs out in the suburbs, in 20k capacity parks, will find it difficult to keep up with the Souths, Eels, Roosters, Bulldogs, Broncos, Storm in the 2020s. Regional teams (Knights, Cowboys, Raiders, Titans, Penrith) will attract dedicated local funding to keep them competitive. This isn't a personal attack, it's just looking at what's already happening and putting 2 and 2 together.
This has been true twice this decade. Congrats.

The NSW gov doesn't even do this? why would you expect WA to?The WA GOV makes it compulsory for all secondary schools to add RL to their sports curriculum. Primary schools add TRL. It's important that kids are introduced to the game from a young age.
If we want the game to succeed in new markets then when we need to get the game to kids while they're still open-minded enough to give 'other' games a go.The NSW gov doesn't even do this? why would you expect WA to?
The others are good points, upgrading every junior RL facility is probably a bit too much to expect, a "RL Training & Community Centre" (basically a centre of excellence) like the Vic gov is building in Broadmeadows could be a compromise
I'd also like to see a dedicated rectangular ground in the same precinct as Optus, like aami/mcg, SFS/SCG, and AO/new proposed stadium - having all these facilities togther in the one spot close to the cbd is a massive advantage for a city

Lets just say the WA Gov did add RL to the curriculum of every school (it'll never happen and shouldn't be expected especially since this isnt even the case in NSW)
Who is going the run it? The NRL doesnt have enough staff in affiliate states nor give enough money to NRLWA to do so
If the NRL wants RL played in schools then the best thing they can do is set up an Auskick style program and approach the schools, im sure most would accept. "Forcing" a state government to just up and add a sport to the curriculum without any funding, equiptment or staff acheives nothingwe aren’t Russia or China, no govt is ever going to dictate to schools what they have to offer in their sports curriculum!
perth doesn’t need RL, it’s got two huge afl clubs, a successful basketball club, an aleague club, a weird union club a cricket side , a netball team and numerous other sports you can follow. If RL wants to be Australias #1 football code it needs a decent presence in every state. Afl know this.

good to see, theres not much more the WA gov can do, its all in the NRL's hands to increase funding if they want it to take offwe have RL played in schools, we have a shs program. We also have touch and leaguetag played in schools. We just need more funding to grow it.

hopefully when a new commissioner comes in they can right that wrong and explain that one person doesnt speak for the whole sportthis labor govt was the most RL friendly govt I’ve seen since moving to WA twenty years ago. Sadly Vlandys dumb as f**k comments have now pssed them off and all that good Will has gone. Shame as they are a shoe in to get another term.
