If you look at my posts from two weeks ago I'm pretty sure you'll see me calling for McKinnon's axing.

I dont rate the guy, hes good, but hes not that good, Sunday proved that.

i like wade but he is heart attack material running the ball with that loose carry of his it seemed like every time kennedy looked sideways at him it popped out

but then again, Wade always carrys the ball up like that and usually does it just fine

Wade is our most consistently GOOD back. He doesnt have too many bad days thankfully - its unfortunate that the mistakes he does make when they happen are big blunders or simple errors.

We play a very conservative type of footy, lots of dummy half running, structured play. Wade is a little unconventional and adds a bit of spark to the side and we need him in the side.

Im not saying drop Wade cuz of Sunday, I think he struggled a bit but every player has an off game.

I just dont see him as the kind of player who is gonna win games for us, people talk him up like hes an awesome fullback, but hes not. He hasnt got the attacking flare of the Hodgson's etc.
McKinnon in my eyes is just a toiler, he makes everything look difficult, runs sideways and breaks tackles yet generally doesnt break the line at speed.

His support play is ok....but I think he picks the wrong moments and wrong players to follow.

Dont get me wrong I'm not trying to bag the guy, because I think hes a pretty decent player and a lot of clubs would probably want him, but I just dont see him as a long term fullback for the club. Jarryd Hayne is the best young player at the club, and his development is being hindered by playing on the wing in premier league.

Wade is good, but hes a player who I dont think is really ever gonna get much better than he is now, and with players like Grothe and Tahu in our backline, I think someone like Reddy or Hayne would provide a better link to them, especially in counter attack from kicks.

It's just my personal thoughts, not having a go or anything, and I certainly wont kick up a stink about him being picked because theres a lot of other positions that need to be sorted out before his.

Don't be so defensive with all your apologies.
You are allowed your opinion.

I thought you expressed yourself very well.

OK, yeah - he has screwed up a few times in recent weeks.

Anyone remember Tahu's second try against the Panthers? I can't remember who made the break that set it up...Please, help me remember!

You did?

Rebuttal:

"He doesn't have the attacking flair of the Hodgson's, etc."

When was the last time Hodgson or Bowen were rated number one for broken tackles per match? When was the last time ANY fullback made 345 metres in a single match? And, as I said above - was it now McKinnon's breaks that led to tries in both the Warriors and Panthers matches?

Saying he has no attacking spark is just wrong.

Didn't say I agreed with him, just said he/she said it well.
It sounded like he/she was worried about being shot down in flames because he/she wasn't saying that Wade is the best fullback in the world, that's all.
There are a lot of people around here who don't like anyone bagging anything blue and gold.
