Gus is a man of hyperbole in general - when NSW have a good stretch he goes on and on about how they're on top, and ditto for Qld. He's done a huge amount of Qld wanking over the last few years as well so while it's obvious where his loyalties lie, it does largely balance out.

Sterlo is normally the most level-headed of them all but I did notice his loyalties come out of a few times tonight in the excitement, just little things though.

Wally was completely on another level from all of them and an abolute embarrassment. All of his shocking habits that we are subjected to when he does club games were made 100 times worse when his Queensland allegiance came into it. He turned into a blabbering Qld fanboy who when he wasn't actively encouraging Queensland was just yelling stuff out with his stupid HOOOOO and the like. He offers nothing and is just a blithering idiot yelling out garbage. From what we heard from him tonight he might as well have been sitting in the stands with a XXXX in his hand.

That was actually 9 being a decent footy broadcaster for once, that incident led directly to the Merrin try but they never showed a replay of it at the time, only the try, when everyone thought it looked like a knock-on (including our man Wally who wailed 'that's a knock on suuuuurely ...'. So they obviously had someone go back and look at the footage while the game continued live to see what had happened.

Yeah ... had a laugh at the "Queensland are staggering" comment, which was made as the camera showed a shot of the entire team preparing for a drop out all looking very keen and enthusiastic.

Let's not forget that Mr Gould made THE BIGGEST DUD CALL in league history when eight years ago he called on Darren Lockyer to step down from the Queensland team.

Lockyer went on to win four of the five next Origin series, multiple Test matches for Australia, two premierships and numerous other awards and accolades.

And yet Gould still has the hide to portray himself as some know-all guru.
