A very nice way to spend next Saturday I must say Crush. Always good to fill the belly with some Chinese food and couple of beers, a few belches and the rest and then watch the game across the road from the club and cheer on the Dragons for a win and then the results of the election. What more can one ask for? Oh, you didn't mention going to the polling booth to vote so I guess you will be before the dining or you have done it by other means?

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the fact Lawrie has played 80 odd games without a try is a statement in itself. It shows he doesn't get anywhere near enough penetration a front rower should. Surely after that many games we should've seen at least one or two barge over tries per season. Wallace showed him how it's done last night.
Besides that he is a repeat offender every week for not being able to get out of the ruck and giving away six against, the sooner he is in the scrap heap the better off we will all be.

This club has a sick sense of what loyalty means . It doesn’t mean you sign every local junior even if they are mediocre in this case Lawrie..the idea is to pick the best crop from your junior base and let the ones that aren’t good enough let go..

It would be the JV entity. The moneys come from various sources but they have been profitable the last couple of years. Otherwise the 2 shareholders St George RLFC & WIN Corp (or do the Gordon’s own it personally?) would make up the shortfall

My understanding is the board is hand picked from the lunatic asylum. At the end of each year the club locks them in a room for a week with a shit load of crownies where they conduct the end of year review and make their recruitment decisions. Hence the “everything is ok” review at the end of each year and the “let’s re-sign Hook before a game is played” and “let’s also sign Sharon, Burgess and McCullough” decisions.
