Fully support a second Kiwi team over a second Brisbane team. Don't see it happening anytime soon though.

Bunniesgimp is actually talking sense for once. The NZ / Wellington Orca's bid is way, way less advanced in comparison to the other bids (in terms of public support & financial backing)
so I can't see this in the next phase expansion.

I think we will only see this come to fruition if Owen Glenn fronts the cash - which would only diminish the potential rivalry with the Warriors really...

Ideally there will be 4 more teams over the next 10 years or so. Perth and Brisbane 2 are looking like near certainties in the next expansion round (probably Perth followed by Bris 2 a year later) and then NZ2 and Central QLD seem like the most logical to follow.

Because it would make more people watch the footy. I grew up in Mosman. When I visit my parents I get a feel for what the area is like. The popularity of NRL in the northern suburbs is below where it was 15 years ago. Eyeballs in Gosford and North Sydney are as valuable as eyeballs anywhere else.

As an area combined the area between Gosford and the harbour bridge offers as much as any other place.

Central Queensland is my 3rd choice team among just the Queensland bids. Ipswich and the Bombers are far better places for a team.
